We checked in to a double room this evening and had time to be in the room for maybe an hour before the bed bugs appeared. Immediately we decided to leave the guesthouse. The staff seemed concerned about it and gave us our money back without any furher ado.

The guesthouse located far from Hualampong railway station around 5 minutes by wallking and 2 minutes to Hualampong MRT Station. The single room quite small (fan room) but comfortable bed with shared bathroom. The coffee and tea available 24 hours (Free).

We had a really nice stay at the guesthouse. We saw the bad rewies on tripadvisor, but we trusted the lonely planet and we were really happy that we choose baan hualompong guesthouse. As we arrived, the owner was really nice, showed us the room first and told us everything. The room was good, smelled like fresh air, the bed...

We stayed at this hostel only for one night so i can't say much bir everybosy was nice and in our room there was no bed bug problem. The only reason for me not to rate it with 5 is that i could not check in before 12 o'clock so i needed to wait in their lobby.

I checked in to this guesthouse, and thought it was super cute. Small rooms, but nice, simple furnishings. Unfortunately I woke up the next morning with about 200 bed bug bites. I found one in the bed too. I alerted the front desk, but they didn't seem to care. They gave me some anti-ich cream. I requested a new room,...

I spent for the second time in one year a short stay to Baan Hualampong Guest House (Bangkok/Thailand) and, the second stay was the worst of all...bedbugs are everywhere (beds, storages, chairs...) The guesthouse is really dark that's why I didn't see the invasion before. My friend and me did the bad experience to wake up the next morning with...

Ok, here's the deal: Place is actually quite nuice, atmosphere amongst travellers was good and the older guys at reception were all welcoming and nice, although also looked quit chaotic. We were even offered a place to place our luggage for a couple of months, and the laundry was done for free. Then the second day I had the delayed...

If you are looking for luxury i wouldn´t recommend this place, But if you are looking for a guesthouse in a more quiet back alley closeby the trainstation and China town, this is the place. Rooms are indeed made out of wood and there will be some noise. The toilet and common shower are very clean and ther is a...

The good: quite clean, very cheap, central, free use of kitchen. The bad: noisy, light everywhere, zero privacy. When I arrived, the owner insisted that there were no self contained rooms in the neighborhood, which is rubbish. For 20 USD they are available. This one s only 10, but it felt like waist of money cus I only slept 3...

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
