This charming, boutique hotel is hard to find. (The taxi driver who picked us up at the bus station had to call the receptionist to get directions.) The Superior Room we had booked wasn't available when we arrived. While the rooms and bathrooms are small and dated, but the owners are staff are very friendly. The set breakfast included with...

Receptionist was very friendly since the moment we stepped in the hotel. They let us check in earlier (morning) without costs and called bus terminal quite a few times to check if our bus was going south due the rains. Bed was okay and bathroom a bit small but everything very clean. Great shower by the way. Breakfast service is...

Tucked away in more of an alley than a street, so make sure you can provide your taxi driver with good directions! Google Maps to the rescue! Inviting atrium style entryway. There is even a two person (with luggage) lift/elevator. Agree with other commenters: bathrooms very tight but clean, air conditioner worked, no menu for breakfast- only choice is how...

It's a good small hotel in Bangkok. Good position, near the main caothic streets of the city. Near also to the Royal Palace (you can go by foot). Staff is very nice, in particular the Madame, a smiling and beautiful woman, very interested in design and fashion: in fact she use a part of the reception as a small delicious...

Plus : good service, also quite good location with the price like this, clean Minus : old appliances. Like you still find crt tv, old shower. Very small bathroom. Kinda hard to find the hotel because it's in the alley. Overall: it's actually quite good if you don't mind about old stuff like i've said.

Friendly staff, very clean comfortable room with AC. Super quiet when you consider you're in the heart of Bangkok's historical centre. Walking distance to most important wats. Lively night market around the corner. Metro not nearby but taxis are cheap. Basic breakfast but everything you need for two nights in Bangkok.

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
