Lovely small hotel situated in the heart of the historic district. Central yet quiet. Rooms clean and excellent value for money. Breakfast tasty, especially the coffee. Lovely staff and great service. We only had a short weekend, and I was able to book all activities and transport through the hotel. Will definitely recommend and stay there again next time I...

Excellent position, very kind staff, room basic but clean, good breakfast - specialty: eggs! Free water bottles are included in the price. Overall: very good value for money, and the central location close to the Democracy Monument makes it very convenient.

We mostly enjoyed our stay; the hotel was clean and the breakfast pretty good and generous. The staff were generally quite nice.  A minus was that the room had a window (not see-through) facing the hallway, which lit up the room during the night.  Also, we arrived at the check-in time, but were told the room hadn't been cleaned yet...

Excellent value for money, although the hotel is basic, it is clean and you get a good size room, shower, towels, fridge and safe we also had breakfast included free in the price! It is about a 5minute walk to Khoasan road which is a must...

Stayed here on my first visit to Bangkok for 2 nights. Excellent location and walking distance to Khao San Road which was very fun. The room was comfortable with AC and hot water. Very simple but it was all I needed. Took a few tuk tuks back to the hotel and it was easy enough, most drivers knew the general...

The staff was a breath of fresh air, and the free breakfast in the morning was delicious. The coffee was AMAZING. The walk to Khao San road was about 6 minutes and I would definitely come here again!!!

Sourire is situated near Democratie Monument, hidden at the end of a 'secret' alley. Never thought to find such a tranquility in this vibrating city, only minutes away from most attractions. Our pocket room (202) had all we needed, minimized but clean and tidy. There is a tiny, little bathroom, good aircon and of course the bed, probably the best...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
