I visit Bangkok regularly for work, and normally stay elsewhere in Sukhumvit. I was glad to have tried SilQ for 3 nights on my most recent visit. It's a lovely boutique hotel conveniently located down Soi 19 about 5 minutes walk from the Asoke BTS. The rooms are slightly small, but well-appointed with very comfortable beds, good bathroom, and flat-screen...

We stayed at Silq for 3 nights and had the most pleasant experience. We booked the hotel after reading all the positive reviews and we were not disappointed. Location: Silq is a small boutique hotel located inside a soi, but very near the main road, shopping malls and most importantly the Sky train station (Asok). It's also very easy to...

Our stay at the SilQ was absolutely fantastic! The best feature about this hotel is its great location right in the heart of Bangkok. The Skytrain station (Asok) is a few minutes’ walk away giving you access to all areas of the city. The hotel itself is on a tiny little street off one of the major thoroughfares of Bangkok...

Superbly located right in the heart of the shopping area. Two Malls are situated within 2 to 3 minutes walk away. The Skytrain is also a short walk away. The room was clean and comfortable and the bed likewise. Other positives are, helpful staff on the front desk and free wifi. Minus points? The breakfast room and breakfast menu could...

This is an amazing hotel. The room was absolutely great! (superior room). It was very nicely decorated, and very very clean and modern. It had the best bed I had in Thailand. It was quiet and I had a great sleep (needed after all the shopping!!!). The location is perfect. It is inside the soi so it is quiet, but...

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
