First time staying here in 10 years and I still like the location and dark and quiet rooms. Sleep well here. But lots of broken things. First the door, then changed room and the phone was broken. Service works hard to fix, but maybe this place is just running down.

Gulliver's is a bar/restaurant in Soi 5 Sukhumvit, its popular with locals and tourists alike. The food and drink are reasonably priced and there is a good selection of western and thai food to choose from. There are plenty of Tvs to watch sports or music on and a few pool tables but these get snapped up very quickly. If...

Gulliver’s Tavern A nice bar to enjoy a drink and a good meal. This bar is on Sukhumvit Soi 5. attached to Gulliver’s hotel. I have visited this place many times over the last four or five years during my short visits to Bangkok. It is located right in the middle of the Nana adult entertainment area of Bangkok. On...

This is a large tavern/restaurant/bar area that serves western food and all types of drinks. There is a eclectic theme around the very large room with dark wood interior and tables and chairs, with sporting, movie themes and a full size 1950's vehicle on a rotating stand fixed in position that just moves in circles above the patrons. There are...

This hotel is ideally located in the main entertainment area of Bangkok. The rooms are clean and well maintained but the check in staff seem more interested in what is on the mobile phones than speaking with customers. They really need some education in customer relations. lt is obvious that this is not an important issue with their superiors. Once...

Stayed here recently for 2 nights. The price was reasonable and the location was OK. The most annoying thing about this hotel however, is the completely archaic WIFI - it doesnt work. When I approached the staff about this, they shrugged their shoulders and said "thats what everyone says". Not good enough guys. Get a proper wifi in place -...

We stopped there one night to have something to eat and drink. We were surprised and pleased. Nice terrace and pleasant. We were staying At the Amari hotel almost next door. If I had to do it again I would stay there instead. This is not only a tavern but a boutique hotel. It looks quaint and original.

This hotel is location is quite convenient. Just a minute's walk and you will be at the night market street.Bangkok streets are very safe so no problem for couples or families to stay here. The room and sheets are clean which is something that i am very particular about. Not much selection for breakfast so this can be improved. Overall,...

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
