Most of the staff besides one gentleman in reception and one in coffee shop are rude and make you feel very unwelcome. The tour desk/guide hustles constantly for full day tours. When we did arrange a half day tour to the palace, the taxi driver left us there and we had to make

The bad... They booked us a taxi which took us to the wrong destination on the first day. We wanted to book transfers but the team were uncertain if we could book them or not. Rubbish Wi-Fi!. Emergency room was near our room which was noisy. No iron. No safe in room. Unfriendly

I had three comfortable nights at this property - I arrived a little early but my room was ready and I was able to check-in straight away. The Deluxe room (#1408 on the top floor) was spacious, with a good bed, a strange sofa (I think it can be a small bed for family members)

This is an average sort of hotel but I was pleasantly surprised by feeling happy here. Good staff and a breakfast which was excellent for the price. It was also in an excellent location for me, over the road from BIDC

We have arranged airport transfer beforehand, however, a taxi shouldn't be too expensive either. Just make sure you ask the driver to turn the meter on - and if they refuse don't be ashamed to just get out and find another taxi :)

I know answer is pretty late but Uber is your best bet in Bangkok, is so much cheaper than the taxis and tuk tuks. The locals usually see you a tourist and they up their prices. Uber however they cannot and always opt for Cash on Uber, for some random reason it was cheaper than paying with your VISA abroad.

Yes, we walked around every night we were there. We went to 'The Street' shopping mall at night where you can find lots of places to eat and shop. It is quite westernised. You can reach it by coming out of the hotel, turning left and carrying straight on until you get to the overpass steps. Go over this and it will take you over the road to the shopping centre. We also y the metro at night and returned back quite late with no problem. You can reach this by turning right out of the hotel only a few hundred metres down the road. Enjoy!
