Rooms were clean, bathroom set up was a bit odd but sure it was clean. Rooms were small but did the job. This place is as central as you get, bang in the middle of the action. Staff were polite and helpful. Definitely recommend this place to anyone paying a flying visit to Bangkok. In the heart of the action...

Wonderful hotel. Staff are very helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean with everything you could need and the rooftop pool is lovely! Perfect location on the road next to Khao San Road. Does get a bit noisy though so probably just best for backpackers or people who will be up late anyway. We have booked to spend another two...

our superior room was not so excellent, i cannot imagine how the standard ones could be.. small and worn-out,even if the furniture was modern. the street is crowded but not as much as kao san, we had no problems with sleeping. pool is small but nice. close to kao san and to grand palace. staff not particularly frendly but helpfull....

We stayed here on numerous occasions in march/april. every time the staff were lovely and the rooms were bright and clean. Some of the rooms can be quite noisy at night so ask for a quiet one and the staff will be happy to oblige. will def stay here again and would recommend to my friends

We stayed here over the weekend at the end of a trip in Vietnam and Thailand. I have to say this was the most disappointing hotel we stayed in. The staff were not friendly, infact quite rude. When we arrived they just looked at us and said 'passports'!! Not even hello or welcome. When we went to our room the...

We decided to stay in this hotel as I stayed there in 2009 and was pleased with the room, location and staff. When back in 2012, it was obvious that the hotel had deteriorated. The location is still good (of course) but the bathroom was mouldy and it was hard to sleep due to all the noise from outside. Also,...

I have stayed at Sleep Withinn Hotel many times over the past few years and have always had an enjoyable comfortable stay. The reception staff very friendly and speak good english. Having stayed in other hotels in Khaosan area over the years, I can say this hotel is definitely one of the top one. The location was fantastic, not in the middle of Khaosan madness but a stone throw away. The road run parallel to khaosand and become walking street in the evening. There is a money changer and a 7-11...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
