It is a very good location for tourists. Rooms are big and well equipped. Metro stop is nearby. Service is good. It is good value for its category. There are many bars restaurants in the area within walking distance day or night.

Checked in one day early for a five night stay but was told by an unhelpful and surly duty manager that I would have to pay double if I wanted to stay an extra night. The young receptionists were arrogant and rude and had no idea how to deal with paying guests. I would have walked out if I had...

It's a good property busy with choosy visitors. At least better than others at the same area I respect of professional front desk staffs, well maintained room, good value, spacious rooms, happy hours, speediest internet facilities, spacious room & more ....... At Sukhumvit Road, really excellent property with good value & service as well.

This place is in the heart of one of the main localities. The rooms are ok, not very well maintained.. Breakfast isn't included, you can pay extra 300 bhat for a single person if you require breakfast.. The hotel staff doesn't replace the towels and bottles themselves and nor do they give extra towels for the day

Had my doubts - read many other TripAdvisor Reviews as you should - kept and open mind - First Reactions were OH NO! - most reviews are correct, it is an old hotel, it is well worn, it does have mold in the bathroom around the basin, first morning lots of HOT water, hot and hotter no cold - challenging,...

I have been in Bangkok numerous times, but this was the first time at President Palace hotel having booked 2 rooms for for me and the family. Check-in with only one counter of four opened went pretty fast. Rooms were ready as we arrived around 3 PM. All quick and smooth. Rooms OK, and also the restaurant and pool area....

I travelled with friends that literally arrived from all over the world. I have stayed here several times and recommended that our group book the same hotel. Check-in was easy enough (although there was a queue). Once the rest of our group arrived, I decided to change my single king-sized bed to a room with two queen-sized beds. The staff...

3rd, 4th or 5th stay in Bangkok, who's counting? First visit to President Palace and I'll come back. What do I want from a hotel? Needs to be clean, friendly and helpful staff, good amenities, easy to get to/from. PP has them all. With tuk tuks and taxis a plenty, everywhere is close but for those wanting to get down...

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
