Good clean accomodation in an excellent location. Friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast more than enough and wifi, can you ask for anymore? Good for both solo or group bookings. Public transport easy to access, so save money on cabs or tuk tuks.

We stayed here for three nights last july. The room was on a high floor, so that the "roof view" was granted. It was tiny and essential, but clean and bright. The location is good for explore the Banglamphu area and not far from the river and the boat lines. Breakfast was good and rich enough. Staff is helpful and...

Great little hotel. Yes, as some of the reviews before have suggested, it is a little hard to find but all you need to remember (or tell your taxi driver) is keep going right to the very end of the road. Soi 6 seems quite a long alley but it is perfectly safe and this is a great location. Stafg...

I stayed here twice, at the recommendation of a friend. The location is good - walking distance to Khao San Road, quiet side street. The hotel itself is fairly basic. They have good security around the building and always someone at the front desk. Breakfast is pretty standard but will suffice. Rooms are standard - big beds, cold AC, a...

The hotel is situated near Khoa San Road down a dark alley. The rooms are quite big with everything you could need apart from curtains, therefore it gets light when the sun comes up. It can feel a little like you are sleeping in a very large prison cell as the windows are narrow and the walls are painted white....

Some of the bad reviews say "it's a hostel". Yes, it's a cheapo hotel/hostel. It's not THE cheapest, but it's fantastic value. We also stayed in Tara Place down teh road, for twice teh price, and preferred Rood View Place. Here's why: after three months on the road, you don't expect luxury. Cleanliness is the most important, and a rich...

We were two 20-something female Australians and found this place great. Clean, shower was large, air con was great, not hard to find once you know where to go. Yes it's a bit pricer than other places (I wouldn't bother if I was travelling by myself) but if you have a group it's reasonable per person and your own bathroom...

It's located at the back lane of one of the street nearby Khao Shan Road. Not very easy to find therefore has to communicate well with the driver before heading towards. While walking to Khao San Road, you can also explore the other streets nearby. Being located in the old city area of Bangkok, the cafes around serve local food...

This hotel was perfect for what I needed. The rooms were clean, had a safe, air conditioning and WiFi. The best part of the hotel however is the location. I walked to all the major tourist attractions which helped save on cost as although tuk tuks are cheap, they soon add up. The hotel staff are also incredibly polite and...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
