Our family of 5 stayed here for 3 nights. Our rooms (standard) were small and slightly claustrophobic. All 3 toilets had an unpleasant smell. The staff were helpful and the location was great. Check out SomTum Der, just a minute from the inn.

Rooms are a lot smaller than portrayed on the website, and for price, certainly don't represent a great value. That said, the location is good, if a bit hard to find. They need to improve their signage. Staff friendly, nice simple b'fast in the AM and coffee/tea and snacks all day. As other travelers have related, wi-fi can be inconsistent,...

My second time back to this hotel. What I like abt this place is the crowd is not so crowded as in Pratunam area. From this hotel there are 2 train station within walking distance. There are food available nearby and Silom complex is just down the road.

The Inn Saladaeng is a great place to stay when in Thailand. Five minutes walk from two train stations (by far the easiest way to get around in Bangkok). Nice rooms, no hanky panky, but a good place to stay and with prices that are very reasonable. Do not expect luxury - you don't pay for that.

I choose this hotel because there are many good reviews, and I don't have a high expectation on budget hotel. It's true that the hotel location is good, just 2-3 mins walk from metro. However, the wifi is not stable at all and even very weak signal at my floor. The breakfast is also disappointing as only biscuits and plain...

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Hotel is sleek and clean. It's location is excellent. Just a couple of minutes walk from both the subway and BTS. 7-11 is nearby to get anything you need. I stocked up on drinks to put into the pretty spacious fridge. The staff were mostly friendly and helped arranged our transfer to the...

The hotel is located about 200 meters from Saladaeng Sky Train station (which is very important to get around Bangkok and avoid the traffic jam) and in a small road. The Taxi driver we took from the airport took almost 30 minutes to find the place, which is a bit annoying and waste of time. There were several warning signs...

Yes, this hotel is located in the heart of the busy Silom area within an easy walk to Lumpini Park. The bed is comfortable and the view from the room is great across the Silom district of Bangkok, with all its greenery. However, the hotel does lie about having movie channels on the Satellite TV. Despite their advert saying they...

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
