I with my mom stayed at the Ecotel Bangkok for 2 nights. Pros - The staff was courteous and helpful. Cons - Room were clean very small. Beds were not comfortable. Staff was not well trained in English, so communication was very tricky. They charge a refundable security deposit of 2000 bhat. Worst part, the breakfast buffet was very disappointing....

Hotel asks for a deposit of 2000 THB (Thai Baht) per room at the time of Check-in. This can be paid in equivalent other currency like...

The rooms were clean and comfortable, but the smell of cigarette smoke hanging in all the passages was a real turn-off. No smoking is allowed, but you smell it everywhere. Also no kettle in the room, hot water must be fetched from an urn on each level. So you have to dress before you can have your first cup of...

Hotel staff told us the rooms were not ready and would be available only after 2 pm which was almost after 5 hours. We did not have any English channels working in the room...
