The Hotel and three rooms were booked through our travel agency during our family tour to Bangkok. We stayed for 3 nights! Rooms were all spacious and clean. It was well within our budget. Hotel asks for a deposit of 2000 THB (Thai Baht) per room at the time of Check-in. This can be paid in equivalent other currency like...

Me and my wife booked ecotel using a local agent, and already knew that it was a budget hotel so were not my expecting world class service, but one thing we were expecting was decent behavior from staff. The moment we arrived the hotel asked us for 2000 Baht as security, which made us a little uncomfortable, only to discover...

The rooms were clean and comfortable, but the smell of cigarette smoke hanging in all the passages was a real turn-off. No smoking is allowed, but you smell it everywhere. Also no kettle in the room, hot water must be fetched from an urn on each level. So you have to dress before you can have your first cup of...

When we reached Ecotel hotel we were tired and wanted to go and take some rest in the hotel room as we had a sightseeing tour. Hotel staff told us the rooms were not ready and would be available only after 2 pm which was almost after 5 hours. We did not have any English channels working in the room...

I've read mixed reviews about this hotel, especially on it's location. It depends whether one mind walking as far as 10 to 15 minutes to the centre of the shopping malls and night markets. To me, with the price of the room, I think it's a good bargain for a great location. And I don't mind the walk at all....

Room and the location of the hotel was very good. Shopping centers like Central World and Siam Paragon were within a mile radius. The hotel had a very good breakfast too. Major tourist attractions are easily accessible with Meter Taxi and Tuk Tuk.

This hotel is within walking distance to Pratunam market/ Platinum mall (~15mins walk) The nearest BTS station (Chidlom station) is a bit farther (~20mins walk). Buffet breakfast served is not bad but more varieties is even better. 7-Eleven is just next to the hotel, so not a problem for any impromptu shopping. The only bad experience is with the taxi...
