This is a wonderful spot! Bee and the other front desk staff were so eager to help me figure out where to go and even helped me get a tuk tuk to the train station. I stayed in a private single room with private bath -- a complimentary upgrade from what I had originally booked. The bathroom and bed were...

This tiny place in an old wooden house exudes a real historic feel - unlike most places in Thailand that make the claim, this is a true boutique hotel. Admittedly, compared to ordinary hotels it's not great value, but since the rooms, service, and location are all excellent it's worth it. There is no restaurant attached, but many good ones...

I can't praise this tiny, beautiful hotel enough ! It is an old restored house with wooden floors, super clean and suffused with a gentle energy. I am a frequent traveler and I travel often to Bangkok particularly. Typically I would stay in a 4 or 5 star hotel that offered promotions. But this one time I chose Baan Dinso...

I book hotel from agoda because good price and 8.4 rate from customers. The picture shows in agoda look so good. But when received room it is very small with a single bed. However, room clean and Staff was so nice, good location to get around.

I can not say enough about this place. For starters, the staff - and especially the owner, are the nicest, kindest people you could ever hope to meet. As soon as you walk in, you feel a sense of tranquility, relaxation - and you know you will have a wonderfully peaceful time here, away from the craziness of Bangkok. What an...

I've never been to a hostel so unique, and yet so wonderful...the moment you step inside, you'll feel welcomed! Stayed in the dorms room and they're like no other...such care in the organization and cleaning of every room in the hostel. And the breakfast is fantastic! Localization is another strong point...very easy to move from there to anywhere in the...

We have visited Baan Dinso again, as it is very conveniently situated, close to Wat Po and near one of the canals linking up with the shopping areas. As usual the rooms were clean and the staff is friendly. The American breakfast is a feast with all the interesting items to eat. There is one thing that bother me is...

small ,clean and tidy place. Traditional style building with wood floor. Staff are friendly and nice. Location is in the city and near Khaosan Road market, but a bit far from MRT. Also can try the local bus system and a bus stop is just outside of the hotel. Must stay and enjoy it.

Baan Dinso is located near the Democracy Memorial and the Wat Suthat with its Giant Swing. It's about a 10min walk to Khaosan Road, which makes it's location pretty central. It's quiet and quaint and absolutely beautiful. My favourite part were the shared bathrooms with the cute sinks and little details. I got free breakfast, which was ok although the...

We have found through booking.com this pleasant hotel, In Munic we had no idea exactly where this accommodation was located. A big surprise was this central location close to major attractions. We found us in a house with a background of beautiful traditional style and and friendly welcome. We will come back!

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.

“You can find plenty of choices of food on the street one minute away from the hostel. If you can, only pay the room price without the option of breakfast, as the breakfast served by the hostel is far too simple but expensive considering the price of 200 Thai Baht. With the 200 Thai Baht, one can easily get a big and delicious meal in the local restaurants nearby.”
