Definitely a good choice to stay at a fair price and convenient location. Rooms are small, but spotless clean (best cleanliness I found so far in my trip around Asia); breakfast is gorgeous with 3 different choices to suit everyone all freshly made and well presented; the shared bathrooms and toilets are absolutely clean and there's lot of room to...

When i first entered the hotel, maybe due to my late arrival which is slightly after midnight, the staff was not too welcoming and friendly. He seemed to want to hurriedly check me in and did not seem interested to answer my queries. Nevertheless, the room is clean and cozy and the shared bathroom is clean and well maintained too.

A beautiful boutique hotel with the friendliest and most helpful staff. It is very well located, within walking distance of the Royal Palace and surrounding temples. The breakfast is incredible and the rooms are beautifully decorated. I loved this hotel and plan to return next year with my son.

I stayed at baan dinso 5 times while i was in thailand. Really well located hotel, clean and comfortable. 10 minuite steady walk to khao san road. I had the single budget room. The rooms are small with a shared bathroom with two showers. Although the rooms are small, there cleanliness is exceptional. Along with the comfy beds. Each room...

I was upgraded on arrival and this really improved the stay; had I been in one of the single rooms with a shared bathroom although I would have been fine, the stay would not have been as enjoyable. The house is an oasis from the busy streets of Bangkok located in an alley off another very busy street (although you...

If you are not staying at the hostel you can come for food as a visitor. Me and my two brothers ate here after looking round the local area with a bit expensive around 100-180 baht for most currys. Enjoyed the meal and the service was good I would recommend eating here if in the area.

We stayed for 6 nights at this beautiful little gem of a hotel. The room was a bit tight for 3 of us but that was easily overlooked when everything is taken into account. The hotel was conveniently located within walking distance to shopping or getting a bite to eat. We even walked to the grand palace & down to...

This relatively inexpensive hostel provided a lovely, comfortable air-conditioned room followed by an elegant, satisfying breakfast the next morning before our visits to the Grand Palace and local Wats, which were quite close. Baan Dinso is also within walking distance to Khao San Rd, a hot tourist area. I loved Charlie's Massage there, where less than $5 buys some serious...

We stayed 5 nights and really enjoyed this hostel from all points of view: the rooms are clean and well arranged, the breakfasts are rich and tasty, location - great and the staff very kind and helpful (they let us deposit several bags for 3 weeks as we traveled to Cambodia). So - I suppose this is one of the...

I stayed here for 3 nights during January 2016 with my family. Such a beautiful old Thai house with lovely rooms and super friendly staff. Breakfast was delicious. Great location for first time visitors in Bangkok. Walking distance from the Grand Palace (1,5 - 2km), as well as various piers and other temples. Very close to Khao San road. Located...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.

“You can find plenty of choices of food on the street one minute away from the hostel. If you can, only pay the room price without the option of breakfast, as the breakfast served by the hostel is far too simple but expensive considering the price of 200 Thai Baht. With the 200 Thai Baht, one can easily get a big and delicious meal in the local restaurants nearby.”
