I visited Taiwan for a 3-day conference and was booked in this hotel by the organizers as the other hotels were fully booked. Staffs are overall friendly, helpful and attentive to guest's requests despite difficulty in communicating in English. Rooms are relatively small compared to other hotels but are well designed and functional. Gym and heated swimming pool are available for...

Visited for a 3-day conference. The "learning rooms" and "conference hall" are great, and the whole place is well located, with plenty of helpful personnel and generally very clean and well maintained. The prices are very decent and the rooms large, with very well functioning AC that is easy enough to calibrate. You get some fruits and bottled water every...

Visited for a 5-day conference, venue and facilities were fine. Location was more taxi-friendly. Shida night market is within a 600m walk to the back. Some eateries nearby for a quick meal. A cafe called Cafe Trouve if you're up to explore the area.

Amazing rooms with separate bedroom and living/working room. Everything is clean - they provide some fruits and water. I really loved the food we had for dinner and breakfast at the hotel. It was mostly asian and very good quality. Good choice of fruits at breakfast as well. Wifi worked perfectly too!

The Howard International House is a very nice, calm and carefully maintained hotel with excellent breakfast offer, nice calm rooms and a very acceptable price in the middle of Taipei. The university is in walk distance, also 101 takes about 20 - 30 minutes to walk. You can enjoy a nice gymn and indoor pool and there are a lot...

This was a great hotel stay in the heart of the Daan Park District of Taipei. The hotel is directly across from National Taiwan University and provided excellent service, clean rooms, and friendly staff. Most employees spoke at least some English for those of you visiting who don't speak Mandarin. The breakfast buffet included an excellent variety of items. The...

I can only give this hotel an average rating. The rooms that we were given had a sitting room and a bedroom with a bathroom attached. The bed linen was clean, bathroom was bright and clean, but the brown carpets made it look dirty. The breakfast buffet had a good variety of choices, and the nearby park made my stay...

How do you rate a hotel that has one of the most comfortable beds I slept in away from home fitted with immaculately pressed, clean sheets set in a large, comfortable space that also features dirty carpets? Where depending on the shift you interact with desk staff who either are out of their way helpful or give you an impression...

I spent several nights here. Although the hotel is ageing, I enjoyed my stay and would generally recommend it - although you do need earplugs (see below). Let's focus on the basics: GOOD NIGHT'S SLEEP? Yes and no. The a/c unit was noisy, but as I had a two-room suite, I found I could a.) use earplugs, and b.) just...
