I see that a previous review talks about a violent encounter with the owner and I can honestly not conceive how this may have happened. However, one of their staff (we luckily mainly had contact with Siam and his son) ís actually pushy and did not leave us with a positive feeling. He deliberately gave us misguiding information about trekking...

Well priced guest house and the owner is very helpful and friendly, there is wifi and a computer available at the guest house, there is hot showers all day and night and t.vs in the rooms with english soeaking channels. This is the nicest place in Nepal that we stayed in.

Myself and my boyfriend stayed at iceland guesthouse for 5 nights and loved our time there. We had initially decided to stay there after seeing the reviews on trip advisor and tried to ring them beforehand with the number given here. Unfortunately it is the wrong number but the owner ended up being at the bus station anyway and gave...

I was disappointed to see that my previous review of this guesthouse was removed. When I stayed here I was verbally abused and threatened with violence by the owner when I asked to move to a cheaper room. Some people have questioned whether this was actually the Iceland, and I can assure them that I would not make a mistake...

At the end of one of the side-streets from Lakeside's main strip, this place is quite cheap (600-900 rupees per night for a twin room in high season). The other main selling point is because of its location it is one of the more quiet hotels near the strip, away from the main road, and many of the other cheap...

Don't be put off knowing that this hotel isn't in the lonely planet (it should be) because it is a very reasonably priced, clean and friendly place to stay. The rooms are spacious with good private bathroom facilities. The hotel owners and staff are approachable and happy to help you and if you're lucky enough, you'll bag a free taxi...

If you're looking for a not too expensive, but nice place to stay in Pokhara, this is where you should go to. Iceland guest house has a really nice location, only a 1-2 minute walk to lakeside's main street and the service is really good. They can arrange pretty much everything for you and the owner's always willing to tell...

I'm actually wondering if the review from katie isn't from another hotel as Shyam (the owner) doesn't drive and he's not a taxi driver, he rides a big motor bike! We have stayed here many times before, you couldn't wish for a better place privately tucked away but close (2 minute walk) to the busy main strip near the lake;...

we've stayed here twice in the last one and a half year. It's a wonderful and quiet place, just near all the tourist necessities. Beautiful garden, friendly owner, sweet personnel. The sitting areas near the rooms on the upstairs floors are delightful places to hang. Rooms are spacious and clean, wifi mostly always working. We'll come back.
