We Loved the Ganesh Himal, all together we spent over a week here. Staff we friendly, rooms clean, HOT water which was exciting and rooms affordable. The location is just outside the Thamel area and is an easy walk. The roof top was our favorite place to relax and unwind. The only thing we did not love is the toilets...

Fun atmosphere after three weeks of hiking to Everest Base Camp. Hot water, free wifi and a beautiful garden to hang out! Location is a bit sketchy at night but not far from Thamel. Worth the price after living like a homeless trekker!

We stayed here for a couple of nights, and enjoyed the great central location. Our room was basic but clean and very little noise despite being so close to the popular Thamel district. The garden area was a nice place to unwind with a meal or a drink after a walk in the busy streets of Kathmandu. They have free...

We stayed at Ganesh Himal for 2 nights at the end of March and found it as a very welcoming and well located place to explore the centre of Kathmandu. Although we didn't get a free taxi pick up from the airport due to the late arrival, there was a porter at reception after midnight who checked us in without...

This hotel stayed in a walking distance to Thamel and Durbar Square. The free airport pick-up was so nice. When we arrived at the hotel we were welcomed by smiling staffs and a cool fruit juice! We could also leave our luggage for weeks after check-out to go trekking. The manager was a supportive man, but the air ticket booking...

The backyard of this Hotel is a Oasis in the "mess" of the city. It is a very pleasant place to enjoy a late afternoon drink or dinner. The hotel itself is nicely taken care, with traditional decorative items. The rooms are a bit old-fashion but they are clean. The best about this hotel is perhaps the food, breakfast is...

The hotel is located down a side street a 5 min walk from Thamel. We stayed in a super deluxe room & it was large with TV, heater, lockable cupboard & hot water when the power is on. The power is out a lot but we were still able to get up early 2 mornings in a row using a...

Located just outside the border of Thamel (a good thing or a bad thing depending on your preference) Hotel Ganesh was a fine place to stay. The room was comfortable, internet connectivity was good and there was plenty of hot water. They had a very nice garden for the restaurant (just had tea so can't comment on the food) which...

The best thing about this hotel is its location between Thamel and Durbar Square. For the intrepid, Swayubanath is even walkable. The rooms are fine, restaurant is good and the garden is lovely. While it may seem like a bargain there are cheaper rooms of equal quality to be had all over Kathmandu. While the staff is very helpful, you...
