First stay in Jan 2013 in solo, I send my wife to the same place 9 months letter for the situation of the guesthouse, but mainly for the service of the friendly Surendra and his team. For sure I will choose once again Dolphin if I go back to Kathmandu, this time also for the top roof.

Just stayed 10 days at this Guesthouse...the room was comfortable, shower was hot everytime, and the wifi was stellar. With that said I thought it was over priced and ended up at a different Guesthouse because i felt there was NO Value for the money here. For a 1000 NPR per night the sheets were clean but old...stained and with...

We'd realized that the particular room needed some minor repairs, thank you for reminding us of the repair and some linen requiring changes. Regarding the toilet flush - I would like to remind you about the water crisis our country is going through and expected some co-operation from you. Because, with your co-operation it is still possible move on with...

I stayed at the Dolphin Guest House for 7 nights during my recent trip to Nepal. The room and social area was always immaculate with the morning's newspaper free to read. Surendra and his family were friendly and always made themselves available for a chat or information - providing maps with directions as required. We left our belongings safely in...

We stayed at the Dolphin for 5 nights on a recent trip to Nepal and found it to be a tidy, clean and well positioned guesthouse. The staff were friendly and helpful. Of the 7 or 8 guest houses I stayed in during my Nepal visit, the Dolphin would be in the top 2. ( no.1 was 5 times the...

Stayed at Dolphin before and after trek to Everest BC. Great location, very clean and safe, could leave valuables at guest house while trekking. Best of all was the exceptional service provided by Surendra and his family, always happy and accommodating.

Dolphin Guesthouse centrally located in Thamel, but is in a side street off Thamel Marg and is very quiet as a result. The rooms and common areas are spotless. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The owner Surendra is fantastic and will help out and provide advice with anything you need. Hot water is always available and there is...

It starts out with a beautiful family owned hotel. The staff were warm, genuine and very helpful. Extremely clean and in a perfect location where you are near everything but not bothered by all the crazy Kathmandu chaos! I have traveled the city many days and stayed in 3 places, this was by far the best value and would highly...

“Quiet room can be coldest one.”

“The staff will no doubt tell you that the rooms on one side of the hotel have bathrooms while those on the other side have a shared bathroom. We had the former during our first visit and the latter by choice when we returned after travelling elsewhere and were happy with both but there was no competition for the shared bathroom at the time. We understand the sharing was between two rooms only in any event.”
