Stayed there for two and a half months - first month was good, but in December we had just a week access to internet, often no hot water and sometimes no water at all. The biggest issue were the cold rooms - i met with the management a couple of times and every time we got promises and promises, but...

Great place to stay if you looking to work/volunteer in Kathmandu. Lots of like minded people passing through. Good rooms, and a good kitchen, letting you cook for yourself. Little way out of the main tourist area - but over time this becomes a good thing

I booked the place online as my colleague referred me the place. It was the best decision ever. The place is quite, comfortable and the equipment was complete. The service was great. That was one of the best place I ever stayed in Lalitpur. Ideal for people who wants to stay for long time. Thumbs up!

I could not have asked for a better experience at 9rooms. Sohnish is a great manager, very attentive and patient, and the other staff are always helpful and friendly. The rooms are comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. The house is very peaceful. Over my two months stay I made good friends with several of the people staying at...

I had a really lovely getaway here. A friend referred it to me its was peaceful and yet exciting experience staying here. Sonish was really really helpful. Its far from the hustle and bustle of Thamel more situated in suburbia the dorm style living is excellent with friendly neighbors, who can give you really nice travel tips.Thumbs up.

9 Rooms is a place to fall in love with: it's set as a share house in peaceful location, close to everything you need and definitely a crossroad to meet the most interesting travelers. The rooms are perfect and even if it's a bit "expensive" it's worth it (electricity, internet, hot shower...), a lovely rooftop and patio, a nice equipped...

I stayed in 9rooms for 2 months and really enjoy it a lot. It is close to many yummie local and international restaurants and take away. I can especially recommen Roti House, which is about 2 min away from 9rooms. Otherwise, the kitchen is a nice place to hang out, meet new flat mates or have friends over for a...

9rooms will change your experience of Kathmandu. This isn't a regular hotel where you're a tourist / temporary visitor. Even if you stay for just a couple of nights or a week, 9 rooms is designed in a way that ensures you interact with other housemates (there is a shared kitchen and lounge area) and meet other awesome people, most...

I stayed in 9 rooms for one months and only had positive impressions. The manager and the didi are very helpful and cooperative. The group in the house is very international; young people on research, short working assignments or internships. Most of them are there for longer time so one really gets support in figuring out the city and the...

I stayed at 9rooms for a total of four months. It is a very clean, well-equipped place with big rooms (except #8 which is rather small), comparatively fast WiFi, hot water, 24/7 electricity, a big kitchen (which is cleaned every day) and a great rooftop with views of the southern parts of the city. 9rooms is located in a quiet...

“the gorund level rooms can get a bit humid during the rainy season... Otherwise all rooms I have seen have their own special charm!!”

“If you can, look at rooms before you decide (the ones with attached bathrooms are not necessarily the best) and think of the season when you make your decision. Rooms not from sunny side are very cold in winter, but would be good for the hot periods etc.”
