A lovely hotel and the service is beyond anything I have experienced before. You have a window seat in your room to sit and read by. The building and gardens are so lovely as is the natural organic food. Perfect to get away from the business of Thamel. Highly recommended.

Kantipur Temple House is a very nice hotel. Location, service and rooms are all top notch. It would be great if there is AC, but we are talking about Nepal, so that may be asking too much. Lovely place, and definitely will stay there again if I ever return back to Kathmandu.

Stayed here October 4, 2012 returning after five years to this fascinating city. This hotel is quiet and solicitous, yet right next to all the tourist activities in the city. The restaurant manager and staff are so friendly and they really want to make your stay pleasant. The cinamon yoghurt, real brewed coffee and home made food menu are so... More

Stayed at the kantipur for 1 night as our flight arrangments had changed so we had an extra night in Kathmandu. We had booked a week at the crown plaza Kathmandu, after staying at the kantipur I wished we would have stayed here the entire week. Upon arrival we were seated received a local drink while our checkin was arranged.... More

This is a must stay for traveling foodies. The chef used organic and local when possible. The menu is varied, the kitchen spotless, the serving staff polite and plentiful. The whole property is expertly maintained, from the flowers in the walled garden to the laundry service. The architecture is amazing. My trip lasted for 3 months in Nepal. I never tired... More

I've been to KTM 8 times and every time staying in a different hotel of all classes and I have to say that this was one of the best. It's a beautiful building in Newari style with dark rooms (as you would expect). The staff are lovely, the location is good and it's fairly quiet for Kathmandu. Breakfast is OK.... More

My stay at Kantipur Temple House (KTH) was amazing! The staff was wonderfully friendly, the location is in the heart of the city, and the food was excellent. This hotel offers amazing organic food at every meal which is rare, also, fresh mineral water is provided for free which other hotels would make you pay for. The thing that is... More

This hotel is very much in conformity with what a Western traveler expects to find in Kathmandu: peace, exoticism, a different culture and it gives the feeling of reflecting the soul of Nepal. Although not exactly in the middle of the vibrant city central, it is quite close to the main street and the rickshaws are very handy for transportation.... More

My friend and i spent one night at kantipur temple House; during this very limited period of time Suzan and Uthman both took care of us; made sure we were properly installed and had enough to eat and drink; rooms are extremely clean and quiet; the bed is comfortable and there is a fan to cool down the temperature. It was a decade ago that my girlfriend and I spent our first few nights in Katmandu. Glad to see that the recent photos show the new section completed. We stayed in the older section which had a lot of charm and character especially of the use of the Nepali traditional wood carved window accents. Shower was hot and welcoming... More
