Aadi, my 11 year old son and I stayed at the Kantipur Temple house in Kathmandu on our camping and building homes visit to Nepal in August 2013. The experience of selecting the hotel, booking the room, receiving communication from Digambar, the hotel's living mascot :) and arriving there from the airport on a luxury ride organized by Digambar was...

I really admired the advocacy of the Kantipur Temple House in preserving this beautiful places. They go on plastic free in there services and provides good organic foods. For Temple House, If you are looking for a place to stay and you want to find serenity and tranquility and have a laid back experience ( no A/c's or TV), I...

Rooms are very nice and tastefully decorated. No air conditioning but you actually don't need since the construction is with bricks and the weather during the night is nice to sleep. Fans available in each room. The architecture of the place is fabulous. Traditional construction, beautiful wood work, marble stairs, just amazing. Staff is very friendly, almost everyone speaks good...

During a month long business trip to Nepal, Kantipur Temple House became my oasis. Kathmandu is very chaotic and this refuge made such a long stay possible. It was a pleasure to return here after a long day of work, to be greeted by the friendly and accommodating staff. The rooms, while basic by american standards, are tastefully decorated and...

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights. This place really is like an oasis. Kathmandu can feel a bit chaotic at times, and Kantipur hotel was like our getaway - the perfect place to slow down and relax. After sight-seeing in Kathmandu, it was so refreshing to enter into Kantipur's beautiful garden and just sit outside, breathe the...

We stayed here for 5 days and found it to be the perfect antidote to the charming but chaotic streets of nearby Thamel. Every single member of staff we encountered wore a smile, and were charming and helpful. We stayed in room 301, a deluxe room which was kept spotlessly clean. The bathroom was small but again very clean and...

We found this hotel perfectly suited for us: we particularly liked the garden, since Kathmandu is a very tiring city and going back after a day of sigthseeing and enjoying the garden was really pleasant! Rooms tend to be a bit dark, but they are well kept and good sized with all amenities. Location is good, just a few steps...

Home away from home... and sometimes home. I stayed in this hotel for 3 years and enjoyed it very much. In the heart of Kathmandu and within walkable distance from most main locations. If you want to feel the pulse of the city, this place will provide an authentic cultural experience and introduction to Nepal. Thank you again for your...

An oasis of calm on the edge of Thamel. Green credentials, friendly and helpful staff. Our room was large and clean, a bit dark but we soon got used to it. Effects of load shedding were minimised and we hardly noticed when the power was off. The garden is wonderful especially when the candles are lit in the evening. Shopping...
