This place was amazing, right beside Durbar square, traditional Newari house with great traditional food. Incredibly welcoming owners. Its a bit more expensive then other hotels but completely worth it for the level of accommodation and service. Highly recommend couldn't really fault anything.

This is a great place to stay in Kathmandu. Dwarika's Chhen is located right next to Durbar Square in walking distance from Thamel. The traditional Newari house has spacious and tastefully furnished rooms with everything you need. There are also budget rooms. The restaurant in the courtyard was the best we visited in Kathmandu. And the staff was very friendly...

My wife and i stayed there for a week. The hotel is super well located directly on Durbar Square. The property is an old family home that has been restored very nicely. The suite on the 2nd floor is fantastic with the nicest room door i have ever seen. The owners are also super hospitable and friendly. When i fell...

We stayed here for 2 nights. It was ok, room was a little tired, but I definitely wouldn't recommend based on the price we paid (£56 per night). The good: beautiful old building in reasonable location, rooms are very spacious, breakfast was ok. The bad: uncomfortable bed (sags in the middle so you roll into each other in the night...

Strategically located directly at Durbar Square, in a beautifully restored traditional setting, the owners, Sindhu & Sagar, and their charming staff make you feel at home. The variety of food on offer is of excellent quality, while very reasonably priced. I have now stayed twice for a month on work visits during 2015 and I have greatly enjoyed my stay...

I stayed there from 7th November 205 till the 27th of November.I am a regulary visitor to Nepal since 1991. I stayed since than always in another Hotel. This time, just by coincidence I went for dinner at Dwarika`s Chhen. I had such a heartfelt welcoming from Sindhu and Sagar (the owner), and when I saw the rooms I felt...

Beautiful traditional architecture, but with all modern comforts (great shower!) Out of the tourist bubble of Thamel, but an easy walk to access. Back door onto Durbar Square so handy and the beautiful courtyard restaurant is a peaceful oasis. All the staff were fantastic. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough!

This place was wonderful. It couldn't be more strategically located. You walk out the back entrance directly onto Durbar Square. And a 10 minute walk to Thamel. Breakfast was very very good. The staff very friendly and helpful. The only complaint i have was that there was no hot water..or shower. After two days of travel to get to Nepal..and...

We just spent three nights at Dwarika's Chhen and it has been a fantastic start for our trip to Nepal. The hotel is really nice and well kept and the location is just great: right into Durbar Square. The restaurant is good too and the staff is all very helpful (the manager Sagar in particular!). I think it offers great...

This beautiful hotel is styled like a Mediterranean home ie all around a courtyard. The windows to the noisy outside world of urban Kathmandu are few and far between. But vast windows look onto the exquisite courtyard with its pool, bar, cafe, quiet sitting corners. Each room is totally different but blessed with gorgeous Nepali crafts rescued from all over....
