Only spent one night here but, would have liked a day or two more. The gardens are very beautiful as are the rooms. Old style charm, attention to detail makes this hotel a must visit. Bathrooms are awesome. I didn't elect such nice accommodation in Nepal.

Nepal, for those that have been there is not the cleanest country in the world and Kathmandu, while a living museum in places, is a major metropolitan city. That said the Dwarika hotel stands out as architecturally appropriate, relevant, local and functional. with the kind of service levels one rarely sees in Nepal. Generally friendly staff (though if the hotel's... More

Although it is relatively new, the Dwarika's Hotel has old-style charm with big, wonderful rooms and suites. The bathrooms in particular are great--as large as the rooms themselves, with double basins, shower and tub, etc. The regular beds and day beds are very comfortable. Everyone is as pleasant as we've ever seen, the food is great (including the buffet breakfast),... More

Dwarika's possesses a charm and character that are becoming ever more difficult to find. The history of the establishment, with its attention to architectural craftsmanship, makes it a museum as well as a lodging. Although not far from the center of the city, it is clearly outside of it and the associated activity. As partial compensation, it is a short... More

I was staying at Nagakort and because of the general strike the next day we had to change our plans and find a hotel for 1 night close to the airport. we contacted Dwarikas and were told they had 2 rooms at USD250 which we agreed to take. When we asked for a confirmation number we were told they could... More

No doubt about it – Dwarika's is an oasis in the middle of a very chaotic and noisy Kathmandu… Step inside the hotel entrance, and you're in another world. We stayed there twice in October 2013 in connection with our Everest Base Camp trek – two nights before the trek and two nights after. We got two different rooms –... More

Three years ago we stayed here as part of an amazing holiday. It was wonderful to be back and we were amazed to be remembered by some of the staff. It is still the same oasis of peace and calm in the middle of a frantic city.Evening in the courtyard is very specialThere have been changes in three years but... More

My wife and I stayed here in our recent visit to Kathmandu. Our stay was prior to our trek. The room was very comfortable and included both shower and large tub, which was wonderfully relaxing. We came back from a 6 day trip in the Annapurna area, with very simple lodges in the hills. We really enjoyed the tranquility and luxury in that Hotel, a great buffet in the park, near the pool. The rooms very quiet and spacious, with a big bathroom. Staff was very helpful and attentive.
