I have been to Kathmandu several times over the last 40 years and stayed in a variety of different hotels. Of all of these hotels Dwarikas has become my favourite. The staff are wonderful and the rooms are superb. If you are going trekking then this is a great base to return to. Beware - Nepal is not as cheap... More

Spent a week in Nepal traveling around and admit this is the nicest hotel by long long way. That said I am also a traveler who looks carefully at value for the money and one of the things everyone will note is this is also probably the most expensive hotel in katmundu so the expectations are pretty high. What I... More

Seldom have I visited a hotel that is so perfect a haven yet at the same time so clearly representative of the pride of the country. This hotel ranks in my mind alongside the great hotels of the world. Not for it's endless facilities (which are wonderful) but for the staff for whom nothing is too much and everything is... More

We stayed two nights in Dwarika's at the end of a walking holiday. It's just a superb place to stay. The highlight is the wonderful wood carving on all the buildings. The cultural heritage of Nepal is on show everywhere at this lovely hotel. The hotel is a bit of a way from the tourist places but we enjoyed walking... More

The hotel is a great haven after the hassle of the city traffic and it a tribute to nepal's cultural heritage. Rooms are spacious and well appointed and bathrooms are quite spacious. the hotel's furniture is made out of antiques collected over the years and a great deal of thought has gone into the detail. The rooms could do with... More

I have offices in Detroit and Kathmandu so my staff and I make frequent trips for business and sometimes tourism. After the noise and bustle of Kathmandu, there is nothing like the peace and beauty of Dwarikas. The rooms are beautiful and well appointed. The food and drink options are authentic and fairly priced given the level of luxury. Service... More

This hotel is a great place to stay after visiting the sites of the city. The rooms are spacious and luxurious, the bed linen can be chosen from a menu. Large bathrooms help with good quality toiletries. Food is very good in the restaurants and try the Nepalese taster meal in the Nepalese restaurant . Staff very helpful throughout. We... More

I'm a bit torn in this review. While there are so many things I loved about the property and was more than happy to contribute to the economy of Kathmandu, I'm not entirely certain the suite delivers the most value for money. Certainly, in a backpacker city such as KTM, there are plenty of more affordable options, but none would... More

After a nailbiting taxi ride from the airport, only about 15 mins away, Dwarika's is an oasis of calm, luxury and service in contrast to the hubbub of Kathmandu. As soon as you enter you will be welcomed by attentive staff, a cold towel and a refreshing home made chilled fruit drink, and it only gets better. The staff could... More

My visit to Nepal (2011) was a trip of a lifetime and my stay at the Dwarika Hotel was worth every penny. It is such a peaceful place to come to after exploring the city. The staff and service were second to none. I hope to return to Nepal and if I do, I would not stay anywhere else. You... More
