The Guest House is a beautiful property however the rooms do not match the standard of the gardens and reception area. Our room was very basic. The bed was comfortable enough and relatively clean however the bathroom was poorly laid out with the shower directly hitting the toilet and flooding the rest of the floor. There was no air conditioning...

Great room, great people and great service. This hotel was our little oasis in the middle of this busy, noisy and amazing Kathmandu city. Rooms very nice and great comfort. Breakfast was great and good bar restaurant at any time. This hotel make an amazing restoration effort after the earthquake of 2015. They have done something incredible. No clue in...

The hotel is in a great location in Kathmandu, Thamel. Once inside the gates there is a lovely garden area with a restaurant. The rooms are fairly well appointed (if a little tired looking) and of a good size. Hot water was available on demand and there was plenty of space to unpack and store 2 suitcases. The reception staff...

Kathmandu is my most favourite city in this world that is very close to my heart. I know this place so well that I can walk around this city blind-folded. I decided to stay at Kathmandu Guest House the last time I visited Kathmandu. I made online booking through their website for my stay here. It is a beautiful property...

Stayed here two nights before travelling then returned again for another two nights. Love this hotel. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The rooms are spacious with good aircon, comfortable bed. Good balcony and good curtains to block out the morning light. Nice garden where you can eat your meal or dine inside if you wish. This is a gated...

I stayed there for one week in November 2016 and I must say it is the worst stay I ever had in Kathmandu. And I am traveling since 16 years every year! The bed had dirty bedsheets when I checked in, no towels in bathroom and dirty cups in the room. The service in the restaurant is not at all...

I based myself here before and after my Base Camp trek, and have to say i'm glad I did. Found it a big help being based somewhere that is both friendly and peaceful, especially with this being my first time in Kathmandu. KGH is conveniently located in the Thamel area so amenities are never far away. The rooms themselves did...

We were walking around the Thamel area and came across this little gem. It really is a different world from what is outside the gates. It's peaceful, with beautiful fruit trees and just so relaxing. We had lunch here and it was so nice to get good food. Then again we were just back from 14 days hiking. I wished...

My three sons and I spent several nights at KGH both before and after our Base Camp Trek. During our first stay we appreciated the service of the staff and the peaceful oasis it provided from the madness of Kathmandu. During our second visit, after the trek, we loved the feeling of luxury compared with the tea houses we had...
