Why so many people rave about this hotel is a miracle to me. Most people (during my 2 night stay) stay just one night and they leave very early in the morning to go on a tour. This hotel is entirely built using tiles so it is noisy and I woke up both mornings around 6 in the morning due...

Very nice staff and good location! I would definitely recommend this guesthouse to anyone going to Kathmandu! The steam room is a plus in the cold months, and the owner treats guests as he would friends or family.

4 of us booked 2 rooms in the hotel. It was cute, in a great location off the busy Thamel strip. Kapil the manager is a very kind man who is always open to help. He helped sort out a car for us for a day trip, he helped sort out our trek and let us keep the luggage at...

excellent location , very friendly service and spacious rooms. Value for the money.. Nice roof top terrace where breakfast is served. Stayed 3 nights and will come back for sure. The hotel owner is very nice and happy to help with anything. Close distance to main KAThmandu sites like durbar square or dream of garden. Juraj and Palo from Slovakia.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Family Home. The rooms are clean, a nice size, the beds are comfortable, the blankets are warm, and even when the power is out in town, there is sufficient lighting in the room and the water is piping hot. Breakfast on the rooftop is a great feature! The best thing about this place,...

We stayed here before and after trekking and it is definitely a solid option in a very central Thamel location. Staff is great, breakfast is big and tasty, they kept our bags for free while we trekked, and rooms are clean and spacious. The only complaint is that the hot water only works later in the day, and even then...

Good location in Thamel but need more guidance in finding the place because it is located in one of the small alleys and the lobby is located on the second floor . Hot water, wifi & heater are available but will be on after the electricity is on too (in Nepal, there is a periodic power outage but basic lighting...

My wife and I spent several nights at the Hotel Family Home in Kathmandu. Aside from the periodic power outages, from which there is no escape, we really enjoyed our time at the hotel. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to assist. Breakfast on the rooftop was very good. Communicating in English was not an...
