It's normally clean for Kathmandu. If you wait long enough, you get hot water in the shower and the price for double room was 1000 rupees per night in October 2016. It's within few minutes walking distance from the middle of Thamel. Will stay there again next time. Wifi is slow, but works.

There are much much better hotels out there. There was wifi but the signal was so weak that it was completely useless. So there was no wifi. The rooms are fairly clean but quite shabby. The hotel porters are mostly unfriendly thin young men. Service without a smile. . During the night they shouted and messed around with each other,... More

The best part about this hotel is that it is at a walking distance to the main Thamel area and it is located in a very quiet area. The service staff is good and always ready to help. Rooms could do with some improvement and painting.

It's good because of it's location Where every thing is near by and it's in calm area .The man who take us from bus stop told us that's it has 24 h. Electricity and hot water but we found that's is not full day . The stuff are not very friendly . The rooms are nearly clean

Room needs renovation and maintenance. Drain & washbasin are choked. Basin waste is leaking. No generator in morning. Toilet cistern was not working, changed after complaining. Room service food was below standard and portion was very less in respect of price.

No ponen papel higiénico. Hace mucho frío en las... More

Lai Lai is perfect to stay your first night in Kathmandu after a long flight. It is not a luxury hotel but just right, at the right price and location. Rooms are clean enough but perhaps need some renovation. Staff is kind and helpfull. When checking in ask for a room with a terrace. Nice to sit in the evening... More

Hotel Lai Lai is a very comfortable hotel no far from thamel, maybe 5 minutes walk. It has very comfortable rooms, and you can have a good rest because you are away from all the busty atmosphere and the noise of Thamel. I had no problem with hot water, and wifi was good and functionnal. I had a room with... More
