Myself and two other friends stayed here for one night before making the crossing to Varanasi. The triple room we had, 202 was very spacious, with a balcony, hot shower, TV with brilliant old school movies showing and a giant ceiling fan! :) The owner was excellent! I had fallen ill after eating a bad meal the night before and...

namaste:-)) We stayed in this hotel in March-April 2016. We really liked everything there! Very freindly staff! At the time whhen we stayed there, Kathmandu residents and tourists suffered from the electricity black outs. Kathmandu friendly home had a good electricity backup, so the wifi and one socket in the room worked even when the whole city went dark! The...

Myself and my girlfriend stayed at Kathmandu Friendly Home before we went trekking. Thamel was a short walk away, but outside enough to be away from the hustle. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I had a great time spending time chatting with them, and they had no problems in helping guide us around Kathmandu and recommend things to...

I steadfastly visit to Nepal and stay at this hotel because of the location from tourist hub Thamel walking merely 2/3 munute and the ambience is tranquil. The amenities are okay as mention on online portal. The staff are always helpful and informative with regard to touristry. Basicly the amenities wifi, hot water are good. No words to comment on...

As a solo female traveler, I felt safe there. Staff is friendly. I liked the rooftop terrace. Location is super convenient. Rooms are basic but clean-ish, way better than what I saw in other places in Thamel. For $7 a night, it doesn't get better. I'll be back next time I'm in Kathmandu.

The cost of a room at this hotel is a great deal, but I found out that you "get what you pay for." First off, I want to acknowledge the very "friendly" and helpful managers and staff. It was a joy visiting with them. However, I feel obligated to inform other prospective visitors that while the price of a room...

Ok. This is the nicest hotel you can stay in Kathmandu. Actually, it is my home in that city, for many reasons. The best and most important, the people who manage it, amazing staff! Helpful and very very nice, they will make you feel like home. They keep your lugagge if you go away, maybe for trekking. Then, the rooms...

Kathmandu Friendly Home is a one-stop for all place. I'm not sure if that's how they wanted to positioned themselves, but they made wonderful liaison with NGO that arranged for our voluntary work and with the adventure center that arranged for our tour. The staff are really sincere and friendly and doesn't hold back at going the extra mile to...

They overcharged us for the stay, we saw later it was cheaper online. The sheets were dirty and the breakfast was definitely not appealing. And we only got breakfast for one morning out of four. The toilet in our bathroom wasn't flushing so we had to lift the lid up and do it manually each time.
