Well... This was my first night in Nepal. I didn't know where I was - tired of the long trip and lost in space. Room was small with bed and nothing else in there. Washed out bedclothes and a shabby towel you could see through... "View" from the window was at the back alley and a wall across the street....

From the start of my booking with Hotel Visit Nepal they were great. Prior to my arrival the owner was exceptionally helpful and answered a barrage of questions concerning logistics, transfers and even TV channels (my friend needed to watch the cricket World Cup). When we arrived the staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful, very welcoming and smiley which...

This hotel is located in the centre of Thamel, close to many restaurants and stores. Dunbar square is about 15 minutes away by foot. Rooms are not very spacious and the bathrooms need to be rebuild, but still, the bedsheets are clean. There's a very nice roof-terrace after the 4th floor, with a beautiful view of Kathmandu!

I was in this hotel for 2 days in the last week of December. The hotel is located in a good place in Thamel in the market place. The rooms are good, but the toilet section is average. The room service is not good. Also they do not offer any drinking water, you have to buy drinking water all the...

We'd stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. First two nights on our arrival to Kathmandu, and one night prior to departure from Nepal. Good communication for room booking prior to our arrival, via both email and phone communication. However, our pick up from the airport was not a smooth one as what I've mentioned, unexpected event(s) does occur in...

The hotel is very good situated, right in the center of Thamel, the most touristic district. Don't expect a high standing hotel, but more a functional spot to sleep and leave your bagage. The rooms are clean (nepali way). I mean, the building is obviously old and the rooms smell strange, but they offer like a one-star occidental hostel's cleanliness....

The staff is really nice and useful. If you don't have a lot of money, this hotel will provide you decent and clean rooms, but the hot water is not so hot every day and as everywhere in Kathmandu, electricity is not available 24/7. Plus, the hotel provides a decent wifi (don't expect 100gigabit, it's Nepal) ! I forgot to...

This is a typical 'hole-in-the-wall' kind of hotel. Very rudimentary in terms of facilities. Located in the side street of Thamel market place. Basu who is the hotel manger is the ONLY best thing about this hotel! However, even he is helpless when the hotel owner (who is the most ill mannered person you can come across) over-rules Basu and...

We paid only around 10USD per night so I should not be one to complain. However, I'm stating the facts as is -- the room was shabby with big holes in the carpet, paint peeling off the walls, the toilet seat cover had holes, cracked bathroom tiles and so on. The reason we picked this hotel was cos we arrived...
