The most centrally located hotel in Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. Very popular among all kinds of travelers esp for the quality of cuisine. Also well known for its "very personalized" service. We have just completed our full renovation. GYM, SPA, and a CAFE were the new additions to our property.

The Druk Hotel Thimphu is located in the heart of the city, with a superb location overlooking the public soccer field and the stunning mountains. The Druk Hotel Thimphu rooms are decorated in traditional Bhutanese style and the staff are very friendly. I was very comfortable while staying in this hotel.

Our stay at Hotel Druck Thimphu was nothing short of excellent. After the renovation, my first stay , but I was here before. The same standard and luxury, but in different colors. There is now an elevator.The hotel is right in the center of Thimphu, so most places are within a short walking distance. The rooms are clean, and very functional.Wi-fi was good and constant.I liked that they gave treated water instead of plastic bottles. Meals were in the (for me) new dining room, I could select whatever I wished and was served promptly.As in the past, there are rooms for meetings too, and we got to use the cafeteria, just right for our group(I met with several Bhutanese interested in TA, some post already). Money could be changed at the reception, and they said that credit cards were accepted but with a 2,5 % surcharge.

The Druk Hotel is very nice and comfortable. The room is spacious with amenities such as security box, full array of toiletries and sweet treats at check in and in the evening. Their restaurant has an extensive menu of Indian, Asian and western food and a separate bar. It is central to shopping and the post office.

Plum at the centre of Thimphu's happening district, Druk hotel had very friendly and helpful staff who were there whenever we needed them - be it to refill the drinking water or to take care of any minor issues we faced. The rooms were extremely comfortable and spacious. The restaurant staff was happy to guide us when we asked to eat some local cuisine the first night we arrived, and food was very tasty too. The location made it very easy for us to move around and explore some nice places on foot. Highly recommended if you have a stay in Thimphu

Druk hotel is a beautiful, historic hotel. My room was decorated in vibrant colors and the bed and pillows were so comfortable. Nightly chocolate was a delightful treat. Their restaurant offered a variety of tasty food and their staff was very hospitable.
The only negative was that I was disturbed by guests in nearby rooms, struggling with keys to open doors, showers running, etc.

We visited the Druk Hotel for its famous Indian thali, which had options to choose from such as regular vegetarian, non-vegetarian, premium vegetarian, and non-vegetarian. The food was good, but the service could be improved. A special mention goes to the sales team who showed us around. Kinley Zangmo knew every detail about the hotel and rooms. The menu for the thali keeps changing, and our favorite that day was bhindi and chicken. The menu listed biryani, but we were served zeera pulao instead. When we informed the team, the chef promptly got us the biryani, which was excellent. They had the best naan we've tasted in Bhutan. I highly recommend this place for lunch, especially if you're craving Indian food in Bhutan! Tashi Delek.

I spent six weeks at the hotel while working in Bhutan and what I most liked about the Druk is the amazing staff. All are friendly and attentive to your needs. This makes it feel like you are at home being looked after by genuinely nice people. I have just read some of the other reviews about the hotel and care of the guests is what others have also commented on. It can't be a coincidence! The central location of the hotel is ideal and the rooms are big and well equipped. I would definitely recommend the Druk to anyone.

Yes it has Wifi and pretty good. We connected 3 devices and all of them worked in good connections. Unless you are planning to download movies on your Bhutan travel, it shall be a good experience
