It is a very beautiful , full of character hotel. Rooms are huge and very comfortable. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Located close to town. Food is good enough to eat. We came here to see the country so food doesn't bother me at all. Just a short stay so didn't have a chance to check the pool.

So far o.k. Big room Food not good, but still acceptable. Almost NO toillet paper available in almost all restrooms. So called Swimmingpool Pool is less than lousy. It has nothing to do with the pictures in Hotels Homepage. Located very well. 5 minutes walk to the City. Quiet.

Good Location (within walking distance to town centre). Lovely (Bhutanese) décor. There was no shampoo & only 1 dental kit in the bathroom when we checked in. We had to ask for the toiletries. The room was very spacious but had only a small heater besides the bed & a bigger one in the sitting area. We tried to switch the heaters but the plugs couldn't fit. The plug for the hairdryer didn't fit very well & we had problem using it. Though the WiFi works quite well, the tv reception wasn't very good. The mattress was firm & very comfortable. We slept very well. The food was generally very bland & not warm enough. The staff was very friendly & helpful. We visited the hotel spa & would have enjoyed the 'hot oil' massage much better if the spa room had better heating. Even though the hotel claim to accept credit card payments, we couldn't pay via credit card.

This was the first hotel I stayed in Bhutan. It was very quaint and has character but the heating is poor. So the room and the hotel itself is very cold in winter. Food for dinner and breakfast were ok.

We spent two nights here and the rooms were fine and service good. However, the food was not always hot which somewhat spoilt our stay. The views were amazing from the public rooms - as were not in the hotel very much the food was not a problem.

Great rooms with sitting areas and amazing view of the mountains and valley. Clean and excellent service. Pleasant and helpful staff . Great place to relax between jaunts about the city. Sorry to not make use of the pool . Great courtyards to do tai chi . Food was more than adequate and fresh and healthy.

Over a couple of weeks in Nepal & Bhutan this was by far the worse accommodation & food. 1. The exterior, very Bhutanish, looked quite pretty but in need of a facelift. 2. All the towels were yellowish & smelled of someone else's sweat before being used. Very off putting & horrible! Been laundered & polluted simultaneously? 3. The room we had smelled musty & not properly clean. Curtains really dusty. 4. Only there one evening & the included very limited buffet (all that was on offer) looked so un-inviting we decamped as did others & purchased a lovely meal from another hotel. I would rate this hotel @ 2 star & no more. It's only saving grace was some, but not all, of the staff were really lovely. Re-posted with correct travel date.

My review is based on the conference that my office held there. The services were very prompt, with a satisfying conference meal and prompt service. The conference hall is very appropriate even for huge numbers. I recommend it for official conferences, even exceeding 100s of participants.

I went there only for swimming: I can’t describe the condition of the swimming pool... extremely dirty: the water cloudy, the wall green for the mold, etc... the picture you see is not the right one.... changing rooms dirty with hair everywhere. For the hot water you have to wait long time. No light in the shower and not toilet paper and I paid quite a lot for the bhutanese prices. The steaming bath without light. Terrible experience. And is a pity because the hotel looks very nice.
