Firstly let’s start with positives, staff were great and tried really hard to please, accommodate and serve us. The rooms were huge. Fully appreciate that the hotel has only just reopened after at least 2 years due to Covid so I sympathise but there is no excuse for cleanliness, has to be just about the dirtiest I have ever stayed in. The toilet in my room did not fill or flush, yes they fixed it but they had 2 years to get ready for customers. Others in our group also had bathroom issues. There seemed to be either a shortage of just about everything you can think of, or we were seriously rationed. The food at breakfast and dinner was abysmal, buffet style without the burners lit, so cold everything, no coordination of serving anything just very random. Would I recommend this hotel, absolutely no, avoid at all cost.…
Stayed here for 2 days as part of our Bhutan Trip , Dec 2019. There were 4 of us - 3 adults , and 1 an almost adult - the room was spacious enough for the 4 of us. Being winter , it was extreme cold in the evenings - just about 0 degrees....the heaters in the room are a must ! The hotel is away from the city center , but in a more peaceful area....great location. Cabs are available right outside , if you a want to go out to the market or city center. The inhouse restaurant has great food - again , many Indian options are available , keeping in mind the Indian clientale they cater to. Service is fast too.... Rooms are all cleanly maintained , and there are very very courteous staff , much like in almost all the hotels of Bhutan. A word of appreciation - for this and almost all hotels in Bhutan. A good chunk of the staff are women !!!…
This is a nice place and has a good view of the Bhutan's city they have super friendly staff and the room service is too good. The food here is quite nice and it is a calm and cozy place for stay. It was a good experience for me and I just loved it
A little away from the Thimpu main market just opposite Pelkhil School is this sweet hotel...taxis are available very easily costing just 35Nu per person to reach the main clock tower... Ambience.. cleanliness...food are all good Rooms are spacious and big...best part this hotel has a lift ..so if you are traveling with the elderly..it's nice... worth a visit...
We went to this property in April and I must say the rooms were spacious and the staff was courteous. They were prompt in changing the kettle in my room and turning the TV on. I cannot comment much on the location as we had our private vehicle drop and pic us up. A star goes off due to lack of proper ventilation in bathroom, drainage system was not around the shower area making entire bathroom wet with single shower. Though the bathroom was huge, only soaps and no other toiletries were provided. Good stay though.
Excellent service, courteous behaviour. Rooms are well serviced and neat. Restaurant is fully equipped and behaviour of staff is courteous. Tasty food. Quality of food is excellent. Ambience is nice and tables are well arranged
It was a booking done through popular travel website and we were bit sceptical but our experience was exceptional While all other travellers in different hotels where complaining we were at peace firstly with clean rooms , behaviour and most importantly good food. Food is most googled about while your stay with bhutan but we were blessed and lucky to have the services to our likings I would definitely recommend the hotel though the town is a bit far away but taxis are ample.
The staff was very courteous and the rooms very spacious. Food was also very delicious, Especially Shamu datshi (mushroom and cheese). Vegetable market is just behind the hotel, one can buy dried mushrooms from there. We had a wonderful time
This is a nice hotel although I can’t really say much about its location as we only went there to sleep....or rather listen to the barking dogs....arghhh..some folks in our group did get a better nights sleep in a different part of the hotel. Breakfast was good & hearty enough for a day of trekking⭐️
The location of hotel is nice. Right in the town of Thimphu. The front view includes a stream flowing in the backdrop of hilly green meadow. There is a school at the beginning of the hill. Road is so calm, even though there is light traffic of vehicles most times. The rooms were comfortable with good service and furniture. The hotel has a restaurant and bar attached which provides ample options to dine and wine. We can stroll around the nearby market and food joints.
