stayed at this hotel for a night with my friend, booked two rooms. The rooms needs facelift for the money there are asking for. No much pressure with water for shower .The rooms have got no love what so ever, but on a good note night staff was very good .

The hotel has so much potential. The staff is friendly & the reception is welcoming. Rooms needs attention, clothes cabinet needs a door, the fridge wasn't working but the maintenance guys came and swapped with a new one. The electricity sockets: some are not working: Overall the hotel is just okay: but needs just a bit of love.

If you want to enjoy traditional dishes go to Fair View and freshly baked bread rolls! The rooms were clean but it being a teaching school, expect your bed not to be perfect as someone will be in their panic mode during exam.

You have to read this in the context of how we were travelling. We were in the middle of cycling through Africa so on our return, passing through Lusaka, the Fairview was an absolute paradise after some of the manky holes in dark Africa. For Lusaka the price is great. Our room was clean, the aircon worked, as did the...

Good hotels in Lusaka cost per night at minimum 120$. Hotels in the range of 60-100$ are mostly not very good so better avoid them and take either a cheap or expensive hotel. The Fairview Hotel is one of those mid-range hotels, I chose it because one of my friends required medical service at the nearby Fairview Hospital. I almost...

The hotel was almost fully booked but the suite was vacant when we arrived here in a late evening. We thought that the suite must be at least okay (somewhere around 80-100 USD) even if this hotel is mid-range. We were wrong. The suite is large with three (!) balconies but the interior and cleanliness were very bad. The sofas...

We arrived in Lusaka in a self drive car on a Friday with a flight at 1am on the Sunday. We were therefore looking for an hotel which would let us keep the room until around 9pm on the Saturday. After some negotiation the Fairviews manager agreed to let us retain the room through Saturday for half the 360,000 zmk...

We need to get our frame of reference organised first. This is a middle range hotel in Lusaka. We're not in Kansas. Lusaka has a few very decent hotels...and a few very indecent hotels. The price tends to give you the clue. The Pamodzi, Intercon, Ridgeway, Protea are at the top and the Lusaka Hotel and Andrews Motel down the...
