A lovely small hotel in a converted colonial house. Lovely grounds and garden, a haven of peace and quiet in the centre of Kampala. Good food and friendly service. However, at $270 per night I do not expect to have to stand in the bath holding a shower attachment and AC was not very efficient. Room was small but cozy.... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for your input! It's funny as I made the very same remark about the showers as I live on property. However, you will be happy to know that I have personally designed a new shower unit for the rooms with "Bath Only". We are also making lots of other changes to our property and hope that... More

Stayed at the Emin Pasha in the third week of July 2014. It's a very nice small hotel with beautifully appointed rooms. Has its own outdoor swimming pool and the spa is great. Well located for business travelers, although there was a good mix of business people and tourists during my stay. Having previously stayed at Protea, Sheraton and Kabira... More

We loved the Emin Pasha hotel, the staff were incredible, really helpful, super friendly and will go above and beyond to take good care of you. The rooms are lovely, it's an oasis of calm in a crazy city - only complaint is it's a tad on the expensive side to stay, we'll defintiely be back to use the pool,... More

I spent a night at the Emin Pasha during a recent business trip to Uganda. It was a nice enough spot for an overnight stay. The location is quite good, near the city center but located on some very quiet back streets in an upmarket part of the city, well out of the chaos and traffic. The reception area is... More

We were both sad and angry by the time we left this hotel. As other reviewers state, it is indeed an oasis of calm in a frenetic city, and it could be a great boutique hotel, but is marred by poor housekeeping and poor service. The junior suite that we had was fine but bulbs were blown or missing, one... More

The Emin Pasha tries very hard to position itself as Kampala's high-end "boutique" hotel. While I cannot comment on accommodations, their so-called "Spa" is in no way high-end and disappointed me big time: I had booked one of the advertised packages including the use of steam-room, sauna and pool, coming with a small discount. To start with, this discount was... More

Small but good location for Kampala as quite and very relaxing. Food excellent and service good. One of the few hotels in Kampala where mostly residents get minimal interruptions from none residents. The Spa adds to all above. Plus the lounges are great for easy reading Am going there again next year to stay longer

The Emin Pasha is an oasis in Kampala, this is for sure. However, the accommodation does not hold what the gardens promise, esp. at that price.
