The corridors are as dark as a dungeon. I was scared s*** to walk around at night. You know what, stay there if you have the guts to expect the unexpected. How they can charge that much for such a place is beyond any human comprehension. They have a not so bad music band though. Too loud for any taste... More

A sister to Uganda's famous Imperial Group of Hotels, the hotel must have been a 4.5 star in the 60s.... sadly that can not be said today, unless you are taking about their rates... - Rooms are modest, clean, crisp white linen, white fresh towels and that's about it. The AC did not work - well it was fixed at... More

Terrible and they think they can still charge what proper hotels charge. Here for breakfast and am appalled. Only good thing going for this establishment is relatively convenient parking and location. Shame on management. All is not lost however. Change management. Because in my opinion hotels are about location location location. After you style up with service. Till something changes.... More

We had decided to go for dinner and having been previously in some of Kampala’s other top hotels, we decided to try the Grand Imperial. From the moment you enter the lobby, something hits you – you stepped back in time about 50 years. The hotel’s decor and furnishings were from a bygone age. It gave a depressing feel. It... More

Was booked there. The moment I arrived, late in the evening, I could see I was not going to like it! Music in the restaurant, just close to reception, was too loud. The hotel is old and in disrepair, with lots of smelly carpets. My room was terrible, old, smelly and I am not sure if the sheets were clean.... More

I stayed here for three nights while on business. Just the kind of hotel that you lack words to define as it lacks clear identity you. Old facility from colonial period that is trying to meet the modern trends. Loud band playing till almost midnight attracts entertainment lovers but also upsets residents who want to catch an early sleep. Business... More
