This is a great place to visit every once in a while given its optune location, service and ambience. It has one the classiest bars in town with a really relaxing atmosphere and great crowd. However this one time there food really was bad. Yeah every one I was with said the same. But over all great place. Try it...

If you can find a discount rate for this hotel, do so! It's very pricey, but rooms are clean, and staff is exceptionally well trained. Club rooms are worth the upgrade, because you can have free breakfast (nice spread!) and free hors d'oeuvres and drinks (again, nice spread!) in the evenings (make that dinner, and you just saved a considerable...

First of all, if you call the hotel directly, they sometimes can beat the price online. Ask for the discounted weekend rate. Rate cheaper than Protea. We arrived from Entebbe after the chaotic drive from the airport. The staff greeted us warmly, parked our car for us, and helped us settle into our rooms. We were grateful there is a...

I will start by saying that I prefer not to stay at the big ex-pat chains when traveling, so for me, that knocks the hotel down a notch to begin with, just because there's not much local feel or ambiance. That said, the staff are exceedingly friendly and helpful. The rooms overlooking the patio area (to the right when you...

I was in Kampala on business, and have to say the Sheraton was very central to everything. The staff were friendly and only too willing to help, though the decor was a little dated. The grounds were well kept and a delight to walk around in the early morning and evening. The food was very good and the atmosphere in...

I had a last minute work trip to Kampala and the Serena was booked for the week so I decided to stay at the Sheraton since it is just up the road from the Serena. In terms of comparing the Sheraton and the Serena, there is no contest, but the Sheraton also does not present itself as a five star...

Dear guest, Thank you for sharing your insightful feedback with us. Some of the bathrooms as you mentioned are not as updated as they should be however this is something that is being worked on in several upgrade phases. Thank you for appreciate the hotel's services and we hope you will stay with us again. Regards,

This hotel is far from Sheraton standards and/or the price charged. Looks dated from the 80's and needs serious maintenance on about anything, bathroom, wallpapering, paintwork. Bed linen feels very old and rough. Had dinner outside and was harassed by no less than 3 prostitutes. I will never ever even consider this hotel again.

Considering the rooms were $225/night we had higher expectations. I have never stayed in an international hotel chain with rooms this shabby before. However, the lobby, common areas, and restaurants are great. The food was very, very good, the atmosphere in the hotel very pleasant, the pool and patio areas were great, the live music and buffet on Fri night...

The Kampala Sheraton should be called a tale of two hotels. The club level rooms vs. the rest. I initially checked into the property on the SPG level (6th floor), and my colleague on the 5th. He took one look at the room, and immediately moved. I mistakenly stayed one night in room 611. Neither level has seen a renovation...

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While I wish you had a better experience, it is feedback like this that we learn from and use to improve.
