I have come to like the Silver Springs following a number of stays in recent years. Initially we were attracted by the good value as we had a mix of international and Ugandan clients but I have developed an appreciation of the friendly and obliging staff , good Indian food and excellent coffee. The Silver Springs as other reviewers have...

Silver Springs hotel is a nice place t stay with good facilities like a great place to eat and other services. Rooms are large and comfortable with TV and cable. Also the restaurant has good menu suitable to different class of people who visit there. Morning breakfast menu has again a lot of variety and starts as early as 6.00...

Been to Silver Springs several times, however I had never had to deal with them directly. While their marketing rep was courteous, the head of events seemed kind of patronizing. Like he knew better what we wanted than we did. Then our decorating team was delayed because the venue was double booked. Which meant that they showed us a hall,...

The hotel requires improvement from beginning to the end, the staff is somehow friendly and courteous however rest all is in a poor state. Services need to be improved on urgent basis. There is hell lot of time taken to provide any service you require. Internet is absolutely pathetic. Standard to the rooms need to be improved...

Internet was non existant in the frist room and drops a lot in...

In this era of ICT services being at the fore front of hotel after sales services, one never expected services like wifi to be inaccessible to guests who spent a whole day in a hotel conference.....only to be told the service is only given to hotel residents.......Does the hotel realise that it gets more money from conferences than hotel residences?...

We spent £30k flying people from across the world for a five-day training workshop, and the wi-fi connection literally broke every ten minutes. Given our course depended on Internet access, It ruined the whole thing. The management were useless in fixing the problem, and pretty blasé about our increasingly panicked pleas for help. Three days in, they finally produced a...

The upside: space, and lots of it. The open restaurant, lobby area, rooms and grounds all seem to be a relaxing reprieve from the bustling, dusty streets of Bugolobi. The downside: noisy weekends of kids at the pool and loud music for various events, crappy wifi. If you are here for business and need wifi the whole time, bring a...

Kampala has few mid range hotels - you either pay big prices for luxury or slum it - but the SS is a (sort of) happy medium. I wouldn't call it a very good hotel - rooms are dingy (especially bathroom areas) and service can be infuriatingly slow and unresponsive to ones needs. But you get a clean a/c room...

I stayed here for 3 nights in the Kampala 5 room on the ground floor. The hotel has an open garden with a pool and sitting area. The bar on the 1st floor above the main entrance and lobby is open towards this area and has very loud disco music every night. The sound bounced against the front door of...
