It's a bit old and could need renovation but it is directly in Kampala and ok to stay overnight if you use public transport. The taxi park is just around the corner. The rooms are ok, bed is good and clean. Just some maintenance needed here and there in the bathroom. What I don't like is that the second person...

It is most definitely DOWNTOWN. So, I have to advise that only backpackers used to Africa and people used to Uganda should try to reach it and stay here. If it's your first time to Africa, it will be a huge culture shock. We used boda-bodas to arrive in William Street, which was awash with lorries, taxis, boda-bodas, street traders...

Decent room in a good location. Very cheap so dont expect too much. Car was watched by security all night and wifi was good as was the food in the restaurant. Only major downside was cockroach infestation - just small ones but alot of them.

Great deal for such a nice hotel! The room and washroom were nice and clean. The restaurant and bar serve really good food. The location is in the center of Kampala (it is a very busy street so getting there will involve heavy traffic). I have stayed there the two times I have been to Kampala. It is the best...

After many years of staying in various hotels in Kampala town, I stayed at Aponye. It is not the fanciest place in town, but unquestionably the best value. Clean, very friendly staff, most reasonable restaurant in town, and centrally located....one can walk almost anywhere in town from here. I have stayed at Aponye over 20 times and its very consistent.

45000 UGX for a twin room, one breakfast included (the second one was around 8000 UGX). Rooms clean, bathroom okay (there was something wrong with the shower). Nice beds with mosquito nets. Food also okay. Good location. In a pretty busy road. Perfect for backpackers and short trips to the city. I will come back

The Aponye Hotel is close to the Central Bus station for trips to other areas in Uganda. It is also well located - within walking distance to banks and the Central post office. We found the security more than helpful with excellent English and a good understanding of the best way to support foreigners. The food isn't great but it...

Name it and they got it: flees, cockroches, poor and shaming breakfast, no hit shower, unfriendly staff (most of them). In 2 nights change 3 rooms. Across the road there is a nicer hotel, same prices (without breakfast) and nicest staff!

My girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel on 21/02/2015. We locked the door and went out to eat from 7.30 to 9.30pm. Whilst we were out somebody entered the room and stole my girlfriends locked day pack, which lucky didn't contain anything of huge value, but still we lost clothes a certain amount of cash and various other items....

I have been there several times but now they have improved by adding break fast and reduced their price for some rooms. I would like to thank the management. The hotel is clean and the staffs are friendly. The location is in the middle of the town and crowded. I recommend to some one who wants good price and clean...
