The Lodge is an excellent option for budget travellers. It's cheap and clean. The staff are friendly and welcoming. It's like a country home outside Kampala. It's proximity to Entebbe airport makes the best overnight before your flight back home.

Me and my husband travelled to Uganda for a safari in November 2015. We stayed at The Lodge for three days before heading to Queen Elizabeth national Park. It was just the right place to be after the Long flight. The rooms are so clean and spacious. located away from noise hence good for resting. The service is good, staff...

Not sure what's gone on with the last few reviews here but this place doesn't seem as advertised. Notwithstanding that I didn't actually stay here, when we toured the rooms they were cramped, hot and not overly clean. Actually, we struggled with Entebbe road traffic coming into Kampala for about 3 hours, got lost on the side road where a...

For money this hotel pays off because of good location and descent rooms which are very clean and comfortable. The Staff are polite and helpful especially Abbey. The place is calm and quiet with good eating areas around with locals. There is a nearby supermarket just 200 metres and public transport is just a walkable distance. The food at the...

We stayed in Kampala 5 nights before our safari and chose The Lodge based on its location in Lubowa. The hotel is nice with friendly staff. You can take walks/jogs near the hotel with views of Lake Victoria. Breakfasts were good (although we would have preferred fresh coffee instead of instant) and our room was very spacious. Staff were welcoming...

We visit africa 2-4 times a year. once atleast in Uganda among the countries we visit. As soon as you walk in to this guest house, everyone makes you feel special. Alex's little touches has made the guest house super. The front desk staff remembers you and could not be nicer. They really care about your day. The chef knows...

Good food, hospitable folks and above all very clean. I will recommend them to my friends who intend to visit Uganda in June 2014.It is a secluded hotel and very quiet. I asked for the local food dishes which they happily provided. I ate a tasteless plantain which I was told it was "the matooke".

Alex makes a great omelet for breakfast, the rooms are clean and the walled garden is in huge pleasant contrast to the surrounding area. A house made into several en-suite rooms makes for unusual room layouts but comfortable and affordable. Staff are helpful and friendly. This location was arranged by our excellent Uganda based tour company, Brovad Tours as a...

We stayed at The Lodge as part of a large group (4 rooms) for a family event. The facilities were decent, nothing special (slow food service and very limited menu, wifi only worked in the lobby, none of the TVs worked). The service during our stay was also OK, nothing special. What ruined our experience completely was the management of...
