Actually visited in 2014 so don't know if there have been much changes however I know that a lot was spent building this hotel. The rooms were neat and food was good though nothing extraordinary. WiFi was OK.

Been traveling for the last 10 years and this was my worst room ever including the 3 stars hotel stay... smelly hallways and rooms because of mould... rust was everywhere in the room... dirty sheets, dirty old carpets, dirty overused bath towels, very slow internet, no kettle in the room... the good things about the hotel Is the pool area,...

Our initial room had a leak and we were upgraded to a sea view room. The hotel could stand for some upgrading but over all the staff was nice, there was security, the Wi-Fi worked well and the food was delicious. I would stay again.

Our plane landed in Dakar for refueling only to find out that a part had broken on the way across the Atlantic. Legally we were not allowed to take off again, so all passengers spent a few days getting to know the local culture. At one point we were bused to the King Fahd hotel for the night and a...

What saves me from coming back to this hotel is the hotel staff in general. They're pleasant and courteous. Aside from the antiquated telephone with no visible markings, just buttons. To the crawling internet service whereby streaming is non existent and I have to go to the cafe down the street to complete my task via computer, the bathroom wasn't...

The environment is clean, with a great view of the sea. Just make sure to ask for the 5th or 6th floor left wing. It has a great sit out to relax and enjoy the cool sea breeze in the evenings. It is within walking distance of so many great supermarkets and restaurants especially the sea side canteens with different...

Changing the room here is like splitting the atom. They say many illogical reasons not to do whatever you asked for. Rooms are old and no duvets but blankets covered with a lienen and inside comes out during sleeping. Blankets are also pretty old and seem dirty. No complientary water in the room as opposed to that they promised. Only...

As the name mentions, this is a palace yes, but a palace from forty years ago. Nothing as changed since that time excelt probably the elevators that have been renovated. Everything is old from the carpet to the gym. The breakfast is good and the staff are friendly but it doesn't make up for the age of the hotel and...
