4 nights, during a business trip, in room 717: quiet, clean, comfortable, with a nice sea view. The Pullman is likely the best hotel in Dakar, although far from meeting international standards. 1/ Long lines, long waiting times, and cumbersome paperwork when checking in at 11 p.m. after a long-haul flight when everybody just wants to go to his room. Many guests were seemingly arriving from the same plane as me, overflowing front desk staff, and the hotel offered no priority lane for Elite All members. 2/ WiFi was not working in my room, and it took two days to solve the issue. Meanwhile, I could not work from my accommodation and had to inconveniently move to public areas. 3/ Waiters at the breakfast buffet do not clean up fast enough the tables left by previous guests. Too hard to find a clean table to sit at, not to mention missing silverware to collect from other tables, or food left behind (opened preserves...). The buffet ran out of some items, and it sometimes took time to see the refills arrive (orange juice, for instance). 4/ Room directory and other information to get through a QR code turned obsolete. However, the staff was so kind that I was ready to forgive a lot. Buffet lunch and a la carte dinner were good, but we found better options just outside the hotel (Il Pappagallo). I appreciated a lot the two pools. Overall, I would recommend the Dakar Pullman but don't have too high expectations.

Our organization held a very important meeting in Dakar, and we entrusted the event to M. Thiendoum and the team at Pullman Dakar Teranga. Our trust was so well placed! The facility is lovely, with a beautiful view of the ocean. We held our dinner in a private section of the pool deck in the hotel's Teranga Beach Club, where our guests had a great meal in a relaxed environment, allowing them to unwind and have very productive conversations after a full day of meetings. The dinners on the terrace in the evening were wonderful, too. Through all the days of our stay, M. Thiendoum, Mme Fall, M. Diop, and the reservation desk were very accommodating, and helped to make our meeting go so smoothly! They also provided excellent recommendations for an interpretation service as well as an airport transfer service, both of which were critical for our multilanguage meeting. We stayed twice at this hotel for a total of 4 nights. The check in is the worst that I have ever seen anywhere. They don't have enough people doing check in and those that are working don't seem to care how fast they are able to complete check in or how long guests have to wait. They also had trouble with the keys actually working to get us into our room and to allow us to get to our floor, since you can't access your floor in the elevator without a working key. The food in the restaurant looks nice but is not as tasty as it should be. There were definitely individual workers and waiters who were helpful and hard-working; but it was very inconsistent. While the hotel physically looks nice and inviting and is in a great location near Independence Place, the reality of what one receives as a guest is not worth the money that they charged.

Very clean, good housekeeping staff and kitchen staff. However, restaurant servers are not attentive, bowls, spoons, labels in buffet not replenished. Wait staff take their time to see if you need anything. One day we waited 30 minutes after giving our order; it appeared our order hadn't made it to the kitchen.
Ambience: The hotel itself is satisfactory and clean. However if you step outside the gates, the streets are garbage filled. The hotel could be part of the solution by hiring a street cleanup crew. Community and environmental responsibility would go a long way.

I stayed here on a business trip and had a nice stay. The terrace has nice views of the water and the breakfast buffet has a lot of variety. I had something light to eat one night and the chocolate fondant dessert was very good. The gym is small but has some basic cardio and weight equipment. They usually have some music playing on the terrace in the evenings and all the staff are great. The rooms are comfortable but I just wish the thermostat could be turned down more. The number setting moves but it doesn’t seem to kick on the A/C more. Otherwise the wifi worked well. The pool at the beach club near the water is great. It gets busy on the weekends with families but was wonderful for doing laps/swimming (you can also order food and drinks at the pool). They seem to have lots of events on the weekends. I also like some of the small details like wet towels and bissap welcome drink when you walk in near the reception desk. The location is convenient to walking to shops and restaurants.

Also was introduced to features of my room by Samba Ndiaye who was really helpful and professional as well. The reception staff were excellent. It’s very expensive and the way things are described on the menu are not how they are served from my experience! The buffet style breakfast is lovely but I would recommend eating outside of the hotel for dinner. There are some amazing restaurants in walking distance.
