Hotel Djoloff is a great local hotel perfectly situated in a quiet little neighborhood about a three minute walk to the main Corniche road. While my meetings were scattered around Dakar, I found this location to be only a 15 minute drive to the downtown commercial district.

Very beautiful hotel, well decorated, well restorated, well located. Offers an underground jazz scene too. The layout of the hotel is beautifully arranged, with the stairs that takes you to the rooftop terrace where you have breakfast (very good one too) and where you can have di

This old hotel has become fashionable, which is good and not-so-good. The rooms are well appointed but seem to have become smaller than I remember from the past. The people who staff the hotel are, as ever, delightful. At the desk, in the rooftop resto, in the halls, they are

I am looking at this hotel for a stay in mid-March 2017. Are there non-smoking rooms available? It was not clear from any of the reviews or from the reservations website. Would appreciate any feedback from those who have stayed here recently.
I stayed there last year (2016) and I definitely had a non-smoking room so you should not have any issues if that's your preference.
