My only regret is that I didn't book more nights in that place. It is a beautiful house conducted by experienced and adorable people (a originally German family). I felt like home and had a very good night. Breakfast was amazing. I hope I'll be back soon.

We arrived late in the afternoon at the guesthouse and were welcomed by the hostess. My husband complained that he felt that the welcome wasn't as warm as he was expecting and especially because we were not given a wifi password. The second complaint was the breakfast... My husband thought that it was luckluster, it was just cereals, bread and...

This is a great budget option in Windhoek. Olaf was kind, incredibly reactive and welcoming. The place was secure, the rooms simple but perfectly adequate. The location is just off centre but calm, safe and at a pleasant elevation. They have a super terrace with a view over Windhoek, visited by lovebirds, mousebirds, bulbul and honey birds. I cannot comment...

I strongly do not reccomend this place. First of all its location is in Windhoek West well known to be one of the less safe suburbs in town. The place offers a very limited breakfast. No eggs are available. If you ask why is that they answer they do not have a kitchen. Isn't it their problem and not the...

Stayed at Tamboti twice either end of our trip to Namibia. We got different rooms each time and both had issues. Both rooms very tired and nothing like the pictures which was disappointing. Very tired and basic. Tiles missing from bathroom with an a4 piece of paper used to cover them up. And in second room, a broken toilet! Pool...

Room was super basic but clean. Great dogs running around. Wifi usage was discouraged by owner due to excessive costs for downloads. Owner also asked to keep showers short due to water shortages. We felt bad and didn't use the wifi or the shower. Minor suggestion is putting up a sign in the bathroom stating that there's a water shortage...

I love the architecture of Southern Africa, and Tamboti is a prime example with its white washed walls, thatched roofs, colourful bougainvilleas, and traditional carved wooden furnishings. The staff are lovely and very helpful. Breakfast was delicious! Bread and pastries delivered fresh from the bakery, freshly brewed coffee served to me at the table, a beautiful spread of jams. I...

Olaf and his mom were gracious, accommodating, and gave a great recommendation for dinner. The room, both times, was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. They both made us feel welcome and chatted with us about places to see and things to do.

We arrived in Windhoek February 6, 2016 and our guide, Philip, of Wild Wind Safaris brought us to this charming guest house. We stayed just one night but loved it there. It is a quiet oasis in Windhoek. We were treated so well and our hostess was totally charming. We had a wonderful breakfast before leaving, the opportunity to store...

I found rooms quite average but the service friendly while German-style reserved. It is very quiet and you are advised to stay quiet. The location and the spaciousness of the villa, terasse and the garden make it a very nice environment. I however consider that for foreigners and tourists working internet is critical as we have no mobiles working and...

“If you are travelling with kids ask for a family room (I saw the room of our neighbours, it was much bigger than ours, it had a sleeping area and a living area, so there is much more space). But for a single person or a couple a double room is more than enough!”
