We recently passed through Maputo twice, once staying at Palmeiras and once in the city so we could see some of it. We should have stayed at Palmeiras both times! The guest house is a oasis from the city. Built around a completely enclosed courtyard, the rooms are spacious, very clean, well furnished, cool, and blissfully quiet. Our Portugeses hosts...

Very cosy, colonial style hotel with a nice little patio. Perfect location on a rather quiet street in central Maputo. The staff and the owner is very friendly and it is easy to feel at home at Palmeiras. I got a large, a bit worn down, room facing the garden. Good value for money.

I stayed 3 nights at this guesthouse while visiting a research project site. When I travel to Maputo, I usually stay at Hotel Terminus, but on this occasion, the hotel was full. My friend had stayed at Palmeiras and recommended it. Booking was smooth and the guesthouse sent me a South African bank account into which I could pay. That...

Situated +- 2km from downtown Maputo in a residential area. Premises is well kept, clean with a pleasant ambience. Rooms are adequately equipped & are clean & well maintained. Staff are friendly & Celia a very friendly hostess. Parking is secure within the property on either side of the house, the left driveway being very narrow though. Free Wi-Fi is...

This place really is an oasis in the middle of the hectic and noisy city of Maputo. The rooms a nice, clean and spacious, and the little garden is a great spot to relax and let your shoulders down. The best place to stay in Maputo! The only reason I don't give Palmeiras the top score, is because they messed...

A colleague and I booked rooms here for a business trip and stayed 4 nights. The grounds and rooms were very clean and well kept and the house itself was tucked away on residential street, making for a very quiet atmosphere. Air conditioning worked great and each room has a private bathroom and very a comfortable full size bed. We...

I was quite nervous booking initially as I have been told of a few horror stories when booking a guesthouse or B&B in Maputo but what a surprise. The venue was expecting us, very clean and rooms ready. The check in was quick and we settled in for a goods night rest. The pool was clean and welcoming. All amenities...

...one of the best we had in Mozambique! As well as comfortable, clean rooms and a lovely small garden out the back. Friendly and safe, good location walking distance from centre of Maputo. Highly recommended.
