I was disappointed with my room, as there were no amenities in the room The design of the bathroom is crazy, with the toilet right in front of the hand basin and shower, with no room to move at all! No hook to hang towels anywhere in the bathroom. I had to use a hand towel as a shower mat, as a mat wasn't provided. The breakfast is very limited, and so many of the buffet items had run out and you have to ask a waiter to replace the dishes! BUT the views are great, and it's good to see the hotel open again at last! It can only get better

An old, well kept hotel in the heart of Maputo, Hotel Cardoso does not disappoint. The rooms are spacious and the balcony rooms have a stunning view of the ocean and the port. First of all, people working for your hotel seemed very kind to me wherever I went, such as restaurent, bar and even yard near swimming pool. Your hotel has a very nice view. I used the gym during my stay.It is a quite spaceous. I have an observation that the quality of water need to be improved if possible.

Excellent facilities and excellent food. We had a meeting and workshop over the week.
The conference facilities were well organised and the buffet were great. The selection of food catered to the wide range of participants.

Perfect room size, neat and clean. Our arrival was warm and welcoming. Entertainment area (pool side) beautiful and the kids enjoyed it. Restaurant food was amazing and the restaurant manager was so helpful whenever I couldn’t find our waiter. Cannot fault Cardoso on anything.

Stayed here twice now. I love it. The breakfast buffet is fabulous: had me overeating with too many good items to choose between. All the staff are very friendly and professional. The women at reception especially are delightful personalities. All rooms are very clean, well maintained and comfortable. I love the all-timber staircase: skip the lift and enjoy walking this old world grandeur. The pool area has a joyful and lively expat+local vibe.

Hotel Cardoso is an excellent place to stay. The staff are amiable and professional. My room was large, well-maintained, and a pleasure to stay in. The food was great as well. It is also located near many shopping areas and other hotels.
