We drove from Johannesburg and stopped to overnight at the Blue Anchor on the way To Inhambane ( another six hours drive ) The room was adequate, clean and nice beds but a little old fashioned. No problem though We had supper and breakfast and both meals were good and wholesome…
The first time we arrived it wasn't great. The owners were rude and unhelpful. After a long journey you just want to see a happy welcoming face. That definitely didn't happen - everything was as if they were doing you a favour, even a bit of banter didn't lighten the terrible…
Excellent accommodation and meals were offered by the owner/hosts.Clean,stylish and well organised.A most enjoyable overnight stay.Swimming pool is a luxury that is needed in summer. Mosquito nets and screens in all rooms. However, this area is not abuzz with mosquitoes.
The rudest woman (proprietor) I have ever met! We arrived just before midnight, and hungry and exhausted. The gate guard showed us our rooms and key. We slept without eating and a little late and went for breakfast at 9, (Bnb) the proprietor told us breakfast finished at 8am!!!…
We didn't feel very welcomed by the owners. There's no wi fi at the lodge, which would be obviously very helpful for tourists. The food is very expensive in the restaurant. The chalet itself was comfortable and neat though.
"Close to Maputo. Excellent for an overnight stay if travelling North. We felt very safe there."
"All rooms are equaly good, just different distances from reception and bar..."
"Lindela is a two bedroomed chalet with a shared bathroom - ideal for families with children or two couples."
"We spent one night in Blue Anchor Inn on our way to Xai Xai to avoid hustle bustle of Maputo. It is a great place for a stop-over. Rooms are nice, clean, comfortable, and commodious. Breakfast is really good. Staff were very friendly and helpful. This place is highly recommended!"
"Hosts make every effort to ensure a comfortable stay"
