So, you can't get a room at the Radisson Blu or the Laico? Then this well situated property isn't a bad fallback (trust me, it can get MUCH worse in the Malian capital). Friendly and helpful staff throughout, the hotel is in dire need of a refurb - especially the dark, old fashioned wood panelled bedrooms and loos. In fact,...

Dear Sir or Mrs. Thank you for your kind note regarding your stay with us. Please rest assured that the rooms mattresses are Schedule to be replaced withing few weeks during our upcoming renavation. There were some things about this hotel that I liked. The housekeeping staff was friendly and accommodating, as were the bellhops and security guards. The front desk was a mixed bag, however. For example, they were very reluctant to make change for me so I could give tips to housekeeping and restaurant staff. The check-in and check-out process, though, was...

Second kindly aknowledge my sincere apologies for the disconfort you experienced with the fitness center. I had to visit Bamako for business purposes, so I cannot review that much about the city, but I can certainly review the hotel. Pros: Location, next to the monument to Modibo Keita, one of the principal attractions of the city, close to the Administrative city, just in case you are there for businesses, nice swimming pool, decent food and...

This hotel is better than average for a hotel in Africa. Mali is a country in conflict so they are doing well despite it. My room was average, the bed was comfortable, the bath was ample and there were plenty of amenities. The hotel is still going through renovation. The restaurant had a small menu but the food was tasty....

Situated just across the bridge of the Niger River, the Salam is on the airport side of Bamako, so you avoid the traffic in town to reach it. It has been vastly improved over the years and now is perfectly acceptable for any international traveler. There is a large lobby, with a small bar. Two elevators to the 9 floors....

The hotel offers an airport pick-up service which is great. You can change your currencies at the reception and the hotel staff are nice. I felt they were very busy and they take very long to respond when you ask for something (e.g there was no hairdryer in my room and I had to wait 30minutes to get one). But...

I have stayed in Azalai Salam three times in February and April 2012. Compared to the other two Azalai hotels in Bamako and the one in Ouagagdougou, this is still the most comfortable and most pleasant. Rooms are spacious, pool side is a real plus and two bars should fit all tastes. Food menu is a too short and room...

I stayed 2 years in and out there when there was no other choices in Bamako. The rooms are ok and after a while the crew are friendly. The pool was fine too. The down side was there is no business lounge and you get used to the restaurant menu after a week or so. I would recommended this hotel...

Choosing hotels in West Africa is always a difficult task. If you have to be in Bamako then this is just OK and better than a lot of others in the region. Its classed as a 5 star but everything is well worn and seen better days. The property is tidy and clean. The bedrooms are spacious and power and...

Well, staying here every overnight in Bamako. Generally acceptable and just slightly overpriced. Close to airport (less than 10$ for taxi). Good food in restaurant and brekfast is fine (no rotten yougurts or poisnous fish like somebody here wrote), much more better then in Radisson Blue. Several things that they should change: - flooring in the room requires change or...
