I booked this hotel for a young friend who was taking the TOEFL at the embassy in Lilongwe. She was traveling alone and had never been to Lilongwe before. The staff was remarkably helpful in organizing every detail and ensuring our friend was safe and taken care of. They informed me upon her safe arrival at the hotel, they ensured...

Last December we stayed in this nice hotel, located in central Lilongwe, close to the market and shops. Fine, clean rooms. The staff is very friendly and helpful! The restaurant downstairs is a nice place for breakfast or lunch (unfortunately, they don’t offer dinner). We also booked a safari to Zambia with Kiboko (desk at the hotel): That was amazing!...

The Hotel has an amazing location in the heart of the city center. The rooms are quite and the restaurant is peace-full. Staff is very friendly, just like most Malawians! Highly recommended place to stay

I have stayed at Kibiko for three times now, a very pleasant guesthouse with great coffee (do ask for strong-strong-strong!!), fruit salad served by very friendly staff. Internet is not free (vouchers) but signal strength is fine. The two executive rooms in the back (11 & 12) are nice and large but face the bread factory behind the guesthouse so...

Great location with solid restaurant on site. Good point for beginning and ending safari with Kiboko Safaris in southern Zambia. If you are at the back of the hotel there is some noise from the bakery next door in the early morning.

I have stayed at several places in Lilongwe, and the Kiboko Town Hotel remains one of my favourites. It has a great location (walking distance to shops and restaurants), friendly staff and manager, and it has a very cute boutique style.

Stayed at this place in October 2016. The hotel is ideally situated in the middle of the old town. Convenients rooms with airconditioning and good showers. There is also a small restaurant (good dishes!), unfortunately it is closed in for dinner. The staff is well trained. Pamela (at the reception) was our favorite staff member!

It's the Kiboko staff that gave us such a warm welcome and good service. We stayed for a day and one night, just before we returned to Europe and wanted to have a bit of a rest, anticipating a long boring flight. Good food, a good bed and a nice shower was what we wanted. We got it. But in...

Okay, sometimes when I read other reviews of a place I've stayed I wonder if it's the same place. So there's an interesting phsychology behind this review writing. Mine is that we have such low expectations of 'Africa' that we ultimately do Africa and its people a disservice. We need to stop accepting 'Africa' as an excuse perpetuated by the...

Dear Paul, Thank you for staying with us again. As you are a regular guest I am surprised with your review which is much concerned about the room prices. Our prices are the same and have not increased since years and nothing has changed since your last visit in April/May 2016. We would like to remind you that prices in...

No electricity on our first night, and nothing provided to help. Staff not very helpful. Rooms dingy and very old. Beggars coming to ask for food. Will not return to this place and cannot recommend at all

Dear Jens Jensen Thank you for your review. We are regretting to notice that you did not enjoy your stay as you should have been doing. Kindly be advised that at the moment Malawi is facing a serious electricity shortage spread out over the whole country. So also on the first night you stayed with us, the power went off...
