spent a good time there, really charming place quite far from city pollution. A bit difficult to access but that worth it seriously. Meal is great, the place is calm. perfect place for a week-end with friends or lover

I have stayed 2 nights here in November 2013. Here, not only a phantastic warm big pool and an even warmer small pool under a beautiful tree, will make you recover from the busy and dusty town with its chaotic traffic. This place seems to be in another world, like a quiet paradise. Juergen, the owner, will do everything to...

The staff and owner of this guesthouse are incredibly helpful and shared with us all their Madagascar experience and advise. The guesthouse is very nicely furnished and everything is spotless clean. The breakfast was amazing, probably one of the best breakfasts we had during the entire trip!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Madagascar, also known by the name „Ile rouge“ (red island) has a little more than double the size of Great Britain. After splitting off from the African Continental shelf the island developed a unique flora and fauna which now attracts visitors from all over the world. People and language have Malayan roots and African influences. Madagascar’s capital Antananarivo is situated in the highlands (at 4265 feet above sea level). It is the entry gate for those visitors who arrive by plane. The luxury guesthouse "Villa Vergissmeinnicht - Antsobolo (ISPM)" is located in a quiet and picturesque corner of the outskirts of „Tana“ (Antananarivo). Distance to the airport is 15 miles (airport collect service) and 20/30min to the city centre. Villa V and its bistro-coffee-terraces are popular with Madagascar visitors since it is an ideal place to begin and end a tour to the wonders of this magic island. Antsobolo, a small village with just about 60 houses, a church and school nestles at the foot of a small quarry and gives visitors a first glance into local everyday-life. The guesthouse Villa Vergissmeinnicht is at the entry of this village and offers spectacular views over the place with its granite pit in the back and the surrounding mountainous landscape in the front. From its terraces visitors can watch the village life (linen washing, work in the rice-fields and in the granite pit). Something to be specially mentioned about the guesthouse is the quiet at night and the shady garden with its big old trees which gives the villa the touch of a green oasis even though it is quite close to the noise and hustle of the city. ... more   less
