Can't really beat this place for value. Great rooms for a fraction of the price elsewhere. Good and affordable attached restaurant. Lovely patio overlooking the city. The associated tour company is also one of the most affordable and do a good job. The airport transfer is cheaper than taking a cab and reliable. A great place to start any Madagascar... More

I am happy that I found Hotel Niaouly in Antananarivo. In the quest to find an inexpensive but safe hotel in Antananarivo, I am glad I found came across their information. Rates are very reasonable and the décor is unique, with interesting, native artwork as well as beautiful wood carvings. Perhaps even more impressive is the restaurant/bar which has a... More

We stayed almost one month at Hotel Niaouly. We had a few issues: Internet problems because they were installing the fibre network connection, water shortages that were due to a problem with the city's pumps or something like that. Despite all this however we had a great time. Hotel is comfortable and clean with a beautiful view over part of... More

I really wanted to like this hotel. The decor was really interesting, the staff seemed friendly but the beds were the worst. I literally woke up with spring marks all over my body. The bed was like sleeping on a board and if it wasn't for the spring marks I would have thought the mattress was really a wooden plank.... More

I stayed here for one night before heading for the north east coast. This place is perfect for one night because of the price and service. Room 10, was a decent enough size. A double bed, table and chair and a slim four shelve unit. There was a separate step up shower and a separate room for the toilet and... More

Stayed here about six times in total on trips to Madagascar, I would never stay anywhere else. Lovely and friendly staff, cosy contained rooms, reliable hot water, good free wifi (fast and reliable), affordable and delicious food in the restaurant, great views from the terrace. Definitely a place you can while away the day reading books, and drinking espressos in... More

Really nice view from the balcony, with clean rooms and very friendly and helpful staff. There is free wifi in all hotel. The food in the restaurant was absolutely delicious. I`ll never forget the flavour of zebu filet! And the restaurant itself is a really nice place.
